Maybe around 3 minutes later, sun ray appeared and started approaching him.
When the ray was half a meter from him, it stopped, and in a blink of an eye, a man, with blond hair to his jaw line, replaced it. He was wearing gold armour, so Dezen couldn't tell what is his body type.
Not even looking at the undead, the man covered them with yellow light, took a step forward, and cut the rocks with his sabre. The opening made by that quickly widened, like it was made from some extensible material.
The inside was filled with magma, that almost immediately started flowing out. Also, a few drops of it flew at the man and the undead, but the light barriers stopped them.
The blonde man looked at it tired, and teleported them all to the sky above. From there, Dezen could see as the magma quickly covers the land, and how 4 giant earth walls rose from the soil. After a few seconds, it turned out there weren't only four of them, as more started forming.
Dezen, who felt mana from that lava, had some idea what he is happening, and asked to confirm it.
- Is it a magical disaster?
- It should be. The Glowing Volcano, made from magma that never solidifies, but acts like it does. However, some appearance had to happen, since it never starts like that. You can leave the area, I will take care of this. Unless you want to help.
Dezen looked down and replied.
- I do.
The man took out of his space enchanted item 3 cubes, that were made from dozens, if not hundreds of smaller ones, with formations written on them.
- You cannot help me with building an outpost to control the glowing volcano. The appearance is probably somewhere in the magma, so unless you can swim in it safely, you cannot search for this. The best you can do is go, and move the animals, I have not yet teleported outside the walls I am creating. Can you use space magic?
- Yes. But I am not sure for how many my mana will be enough.
The man formed a crystal from the light, and gave it to Dezen.
- Destroy it when it happens. Or when you need to contact with me. Any other questions?
- No.
The blonde man teleported the undead back to the earth, and Dezen quickly started fulfilling his task.
At first, he was using searching spells, to locate the animals, then movement spells to reach them, enslavement magic, or immobilizing spells, and teleporting at the end. For better efficiency, he split up with his undead at some point, after creating for them detailed instructions how to act.
Over 2 hours passed, and the blonde man ended the initial construction works. It also meant Dezen's task was over, so he teleported him to one of the buildings, placed at the tops of the walls. At first, Dezen was a little surprised, but quickly understood what happened.
- I have teleported what remained. Now, time to pay you for your work. - He raised his right hand in front of him, and a giant ball of magma appeared above it. - I hope this is enough. You have some enchantment item to store it, right?
- Yes, my human undead has one. - Uncertain, he asked. - Also, can I stay for a little? I want to watch as the magma level rises, and then it flows through the cavities you made, since I rarely have possibilities to watch such beautiful and rare things happen.
- You can. Just don't enter any rooms without my, or another church member's permission. That's the rules.
- Thank you. And, here are others?
- Not yet. They have to organize the staff that will work here.
Dezen left the room, approached a fence at the edge of the wall, and start observing the magma moving. The sight was extraordinary for him, and thus, Dezen spend dozens of minutes watching it.
Instead of stopping it by himself, Dezen was interrupted by the blonde man.
- Dezen.
- Hm?
- I was told there is an assignment that you may want to take. It's about killing special creatures, that are destroying places where magical resources are being produced, by parasitizing on them. Are you interested in taking it?
- Yes. And, what is your name? You know mine, but I do not know yours. So it is a little strange for me
- It is Leon. Leon Astord.
- Seriously? I have the same last name, and I even have a friend who is also Leon.
- I was surprised too when I learnt about it. Though it was not planned for me to meet you. However, shall we now talk about the assignment, and not about our names? It is really urgent.
- Yes. So where is it happening? And what are these parasites?
- The place of the assignment is around 22 kilometres from here. The parasites are Absorbing Ants, unique creatures, that are "consuming" mana, and getting magical abilities thanks to this. They also destroy the source of the resources in the process. You will have to deal with thousands of them, but other church members are already fighting them, so it will not be too hard. Are you still interested?
- Yes. Could you teleport me there?
Without moving, the blonde man used a space magic spell, and all the undead disappeared, taken to another forest far away from there. After the teleportation, Dezen spend a few seconds looking at the area, before going to the outpost in front of which he appeared. There, he quickly explained the situation, and officially took the assignment, also getting more information about the situation.
Dezen then left the outpost, and went in the direction, where the church members were trying to stop the ants from reaching the outpost.
To get there quick, they all used movement spells, and while they were doing this, a small green flame appeared on the hand of the undead Dezen was controlling. He raised his arm, throwing it in the air, where the flame grew to 8 metres high, and 4 wide. Then it transformed into a spectrum of phoenix, which flew to the battlefield to herald Dezen's arrival.
Not long after, the spell reached its destination, and fell on the ants, exploding after it touched dozens of them, and killing hundreds of these creatures. It also left fire, which then Dezen and the rest of the undead used to fight.
After arrival, Dezen was fighting along with his undead, for a few minutes, before going to the real fight. There, were just normal absorbing ants, with no mana, who didn't really possess a threat. He just had to make sure, that 20 of his undead is enough to stop them. If not, Dezen would teleport here more of them.
During this time, Dezen was quite satisfied with his servants. Using abilities (which they gained after absorbing mana) and spells, they were easily killing the ants, and slowly improving fighting together.
The nature undead could strengthen other undead, and use the plants to attack, though their claws and magic were more deadly. Together, they also used a nature spell to control the animals. It couldn't work on all of them, but slowed them down, distracted, and made enslaving them, for the enslavement undead, easier.
Earth undead changed the density of the soil, and together with water undead, created mud and controlled it, to strangling the ants.
Besides attacking, the metal undead were also using spells, to protect other undead. Dezen wanted them to do this, because there was a risk, that the absorbing ants can steal mana from his undead. He also ordered them to catch few of these ants, to make experiments with them.
Seeing how they are doing, Dezen wasn't sure if 20 of them will do it. As for now, they were enough, but if more ants came there, or the ones with magic abilities appeared, they wouldn't manage to kill them all. Thus, to prevent it from happening, he decided to summon 7 more undead.
Dezen raised his right hand in front of him, and the skin was torn, by undead coming from his flesh. It repeated 7 times, and 7 times he lost no blood, nor gained any injuries. At first, the undead were small, but quickly grew, after leaving his body, and after giving them short instructions, they joined the battle.
