"But can I isolate them? My knowledge about souls is too little, and without it, making such a spell will take years, if not dozens of years. What, should I try to create new magic, soul magic? Making necromancy took me 2 weeks, making soul magic will probably take me 2 years, assuming that I won't focus on it entirely, and I will still develop as a necromancer..."
Dezen tried to think about other solutions, but he couldn't think of anything as for now.
" It's not a bad idea. I was ready to spent years to learn magic if it's good enough, so why not this. I am young, and I will be also looking for ways to lengthen my life, which already should exist, so why shouldn't I spend, or rather wait 2 years. Probably, it will also be the best way to isolate them. And it may give me other possibilities. "
Dezen had no more idea, how to deal with that conflict between necromancy and enslavement, so he started improving his soul, cultivating.
He lay down comfortably on his bed, closed eyes and turned off his other sesnses, except hearing, which worked, but weakened.
At first, he saw a light brown, transparent mass, which was his soul, then he saw two energies, which look like fog, if you watch them close enough.
The last thing that he started seeing, were 3 transparent masses, one white, one green, and one blue. It were his mana.
The green one is necromancy mana.
The white one is enslavement mana.
The blue one is normal mana, connected with no magic. It is used to learn new magics, create new magics, and can become any other mana.
Dezen started controlling his mana, and tried to merge it with his soul.
It was a little hard, because to start, he had to feel his soul in a specific way, and he had no idea how to do this.
After few attempts, he succeeded.
At first, Dezen tried to merge most of his mana with his soul, but he failed. Not because something blocked him, it was just beyond his capabilities.
He can control most of his mana at once, moving it, and even using it to cast spells, but Dezen cannot merge it with his soul in such large amounts.
After a few attempts, he found out the maximal amount of mana, he can merge at once.
It was a small amount, so small, that it resembled for Dezen flow of hundreds of litres of water through few straws.
That speed isn't satisfying, but he doesn't expect too much from the first time.
Feeling whic, improving his soul, gave Dezen was great. It was like something in him was slowly getting stronger, even refreshed.
Because of it, Dezen could easily cultivate for over 3 hours, and when he ended, he was full of energy.
These 3 hours wasn't enough to use all of his mana, but it wasn't purpose, nor he wanted it.
While cultivating, Dezen thought about a way to isolate necromancy and enslavement magic in his soul.
Since spells are mana moving in a certain way, he wants to try to move mana in his soul, like when he uses spells, to make a barrier isolating necromancy and enslavement.
First few attempts failed, then he tried to use mana alone, to make a wall between energies of two magics.
He managed to built one, but he wasn't sure if it will work.
In order to test this prototype of isolation, he started training enslavement magic.
After around 30 minutes, nothing changed. Development as enslavement mage was as hard as before.
He then checked that wall of mana, and saw that it is slowly falling apart. Not because the energy of necromancy was damaging it, it just lacked stabilisation.
Disappointed, he left this wall as it was, and continued training enslavement magic.
Next days, he spent mostly on changing shapes of his wolves, and modifying them.
Now he had 6 undead wolves, but could revive one more. He didn't do this, to not slow down his cultivation, and it would make his mana production too low.
First thing he did, was getting rid of imperfections, which he left on the second wolf, to which he gave stronger bites.
Then, he made bites of remaining 4 wolf stronger. Thanks to his new spell, all of them were equally strong in this aspect.
Next, he tried to give their legs more muscles, in a way which will make them stronger, and will suit humanoid shape.
He didn't know how to do this, so he started testing, wanting to get it by trial and error method.
After obtaining success, he finally could change their shapes.
The first result was strange. Wolf resembled human, but his body was disproportionate.
Seeing it, Dezen tried to change his body.
It was long and a little hard, but he managed to do this, again by trail and error method.
The final result was satisfying. Besides the head, the rest of the wolf body looked like human's, the main difference was that it was covered in fur.
Part of the changes was modifying their claws. Dezen made them bigger and much sharper, combined with powerful muscles, they could easily go through rocks and protection of Stone Skin.
While improving his spells, he especially focused on Stone Skin, making it protection comparable to iron.
Changing the remaining 5 wolves took him 8 days, and they are truly worth the effort.
The next thing he wants to create is an enchanted item, able to store mana.
Currently, he doesn't need enchanted items connected with enslavement or necromancy, so he temporarily stopped attempts to make them.
This goal was one of the hardest to obtain. It was because he had no hints nor things, magic connected with it. Only his soul can store mana, but he has no idea, and no tools to examine how it works. Not yet.
Luckily, he had a few ideas, which worked, but with low efficiency.
Dezen then started trying to correct imperfections.
This process was slow, but he continued persistently.
At some point, he focused on correcting only the best enchanted item, abandoning the rest, to speed up this process.
After a month, he ended making this enchantment. It could store relatively big amount of mana, but it wasn't important. What mattered, was that it can cast one, combined with it spell, and can be used by normal people.
Thanks to it, he can now leave Alex for over 2 weeks, and he will still be protected by Stone Skin.
However, Dezen doesn't has plans to leave village now.
