Chapter 2: Reincarnation
Lin Fan awoke in an unfamiliar room with a stranger looking at him and holding a knife. When the stranger realized that Lin Fan was awake, he immediately attempted to stab him. However, before the tip of the blade could touch Lin Fan, Lin Fang heard a voice in his head and a transparent blue window popped up in front of him. 'Ding! System has detected that the host is in danger. Deploying security measures.' A crystal clear blue barrier formed around Lin Fang and the blade was blocked. Surprised, the assailant jumped back and took off her mask, revealing a woman who was in shock at how Lin Fan managed to block her attack. As the assailant raised her knife again, the door burst open and guards rushed in, attracted by the noise their scuffle made.- The woman tried to flee when this happened but suddenly, an oppressive aura burst forth and a 2-metre-tall giant seemed to teleport in front of her and punched her, rendering her unconscious.
The giant then walked up to Lin Fan, scaring him shitless. "Are you ok son?" Lin Fan noticed from the previous owner's memories that this behemoth was his father. "Y-yeah dad i'm fine." Looking into the memories of the previous owner of this body, he realized that he was the son of a prestigious clan leader. However, he was startled when he looked into the memories of the former owner of this body as he saw that he was a weak and gullible person with little to no clue of how things worked. Lin Fan wondered if that system window he had seen earlier was a hallucination. He had read many reincarnation novels before this and could guess how he activated it. Tentatively, Lin Fan said, "System." and suddenly, like magic, the same blue window appeared in front of him. Curious, Lin Fan took a closer look at the window and saw it was displaying a status screen

Lin Fan opened the gift box and received 10 qi condensing pills, 1000 spirit stones, and 2 roulette spins. "Roulettete spins?" Lin Fan asked, pressing the more button. A second tab appeared beside the blue window, showing a slot machine-style interface. At the bottom of the interface was a button with words on it. It read: 1 ticket per go. 1 free spin a day! Curious, Lin Fan clicked the button and the window lit up. The center started spinning and landed on a picture of a shield and a skull. 'Ding! The host has received the skill poison boost. Effect: This ability allows the user to gain a health and strength boost from poisonous substances.' Immediately, he started feeling much better.
Lin Fan decided to rest for now and went back to sleep. The next day, he woke up, expecting to see the grey walls of his college dorm room. However, he was still in the same olden China-style room wearing the same clothes he was wearing the night before. Suddenly, a maid came into the room carrying a tray of food and said, "Your breakfast, young master." confused, he remembered the night before and shivered, thinking what could have happened if the attempt was successful. Surprised, Lin Fan clicked equip and the information on that fighting style was instantly beamed into his brain and he felt as if he were an expert in that fighting style as if he had spent years training in that martial art. The move was simple. To execute it, one had to lightly flick towards their opponent and if done perfectly, that flick could even blow mountains away!
