Chapter 64 - Quality issues

Xia Luo chuckled. "Not entirely. Maybe they'll try to recruit you instead. However, you did one thing right: you didn't reveal the White Night Clan's battle techniques. Otherwise, you'd be dead by now."

Lu Yin narrowed his eyes. In his fight against Qing Yu, he had never revealed the White Night Punch, no matter how difficult the situation was. The White Night Clan's battle techniques were never to be disclosed. If exposed, not only would the White Night Clan come after him, but other forces in the universe might also try to extract the techniques from him. That would be real trouble.

Lulu Mebius had the Mebius family as her backing, even the White Night Clan couldn't do anything to her. But what about this Xia Luo?

Thinking of this, Lu Yin seriously looked at Xia Luo. "I'm curious, what did you obtain?"

Xia Luo smiled. "Nothing but scraps."

At this moment, a figure slowly walked around the corner. Lu Yin and Xia Luo both looked and saw a head of short silver hair.

"How coincidental," Silver greeted them with a cheerful smile, acting very familiar.

Lu Yin's heart skipped a beat. That feeling of inexplicable danger was back. No matter how much stronger he had become since that night in Nanjing, he always felt this way when facing Silver.

Xia Luo's face grew serious for a rare moment, then he turned and left without saying much to Silver.

Lu Yin was puzzled.

Silver approached Lu Yin, stopping three meters away. "I heard you almost killed Qing Yu in the trial. Congratulations."

Lu Yin's lips curled. "You're too kind. Qing Yu was pretty good; he managed to make me use fifty percent of my strength."

Silver's smile grew even more radiant. "Actually, I've fought Qing Yu before. He barely made me use thirty percent of my strength."

Lu Yin rolled his eyes. This guy was still as shameless as ever.

"Well, I'll be going now. Maybe we'll meet again soon," Silver said as he walked past Lu Yin. After a few steps, he suddenly paused. "Perhaps, it won't be long before we meet again."

"Starry Sky War College?" Lu Yin asked calmly.

Silver smiled, waved his hand, and left.

Lu Yin exhaled. Each one was stranger than the last. Among all the trial students from Earth, Xia Luo, Silver, and Lulu Mebius were the ones he was most wary of because he couldn't gauge their true strength. Flame Gang and Mono were powerful cultivators with sealed abilities, but what about these three? Lu Yin really didn't know and couldn't tell.

Thinking of Mono, Lu Yin felt a bit guilty. Forcing him to take medicine and land a critical blow on Qing Yu had been the key to Qing Yu's defeat. Without him, Lu Yin couldn't have won. Mono was a benefactor, though he probably didn't have a good impression of Lu Yin.

After a while, Lu Yin decided to explore more. Super-large spaceships like this one were rare. Even in the entire Dayu Empire, there weren't many such super-large spaceships. Most cultivators could only hope to travel the universe in personal spaceships.

This level might not be as well-equipped as the top floor, but there were still many things that interested Lu Yin, such as a bar.

Students were under a lot of pressure. They needed to relax before trials and celebrate afterward. The bar was the liveliest place.

Lu Yin stepped into the bar and immediately bumped into someone.

"Watch it!" The student who got bumped took two steps back, looking ready to curse. But when he saw Lu Yin, he quickly shut his mouth and forced a smile that looked worse than crying. "Isn't this Brother Lu? Please, come in. It's spacious inside."

Lu Yin looked at the student in confusion. "Sorry, do we know each other?"

The student's mouth twitched, forcing a smile. "I was one of the forty-two students you captured."

Lu Yin made a sound of acknowledgment and walked into the bar without any guilt.

The student sighed in relief and quickly left. He didn't want to stay around this troublemaker. This guy was the enemy of all students.

The bar on the spaceship was just as noisy as those on Earth, filled with music and dance. The difference was there were no vices or drugs here; it was all about students celebrating.

Lu Yin found a corner, ordered a drink, and observed the surroundings.

The bar was large, not only hosting students but also off-duty staff and some officers of various ages.

Screens around the bar displayed battle scenes, news from the Dayu Empire, and songs.

Lu Yin felt a headache from all the noise.

Not far away, a group of students raised their glasses. "Congratulations to Senior for finding rare mutant metal and achieving top results in this trial."

"Congratulations, Senior!"

"Congratulations, Senior!"

...

"Thank you, everyone. I always said the trial tasks aren't simple. That idiot Hai Dian rushed ahead and didn't even touch Qing Yu's hair. He got captured by the natives, ha ha."

"Senior, that's not all. He was defeated by an Indian monk. In the end, Eder had to save him, ha ha."

"How can an idiot from the sea compare to us? He has no brains. This trial is over for him."

On the other side, others were also celebrating. They were students who couldn't reach the top tier of the academy. They gained quite a bit from this trial, aiming to complete their objectives rather than entering the Starry Sky War College.

Small people with their self-consolation, Lu Yin thought with a smile, taking a sip of his drink.

With a loud bang, the bar's door was kicked open. Everyone looked over.

At the entrance, Eder and Hai Dian slowly walked in.

In an instant, everyone went silent. They knew their place. They had dared to be loud because the strongest students weren't around. Now that they were here, no one dared to make a sound.

Following Eder and Hai Dian was Jenny Auna, who looked quite displeased.

Many students quickly left, fearing they would be targeted.

"Hey, you, get out," Hai Dian shouted at the group that had been celebrating.

The group looked angry but obediently stood up to make room.

Eder and Hai Dian occupied the space, their expressions gloomy.

Jenny Auna went upstairs to a private room.

"Hey, buddy, move aside," someone said to Lu Yin as he drank. It was one of the students Hai Dian had driven away.

"Are you talking to me?" Lu Yin asked, pointing to himself.

A tall student scowled. "Stop talking and get out."

Lu Yin chuckled and looked past the students to Hai Dian and Eder. "Hey, you two, these guys are bothering me because you took their seats. Help me out here."

The students were stunned. Did he know Eder and Hai Dian?

Eder and Hai Dian looked at Lu Yin as if they had seen a ghost. After a moment of hesitation, seeing Lu Yin's growing displeasure, they quickly shouted at the students, "Get lost and don't disturb others drinking. Have some decency."

Lu Yin laughed out loud.

The group of students, including the one called Senior, had dark expressions. "Hai Dian, don't push it. Our drinking has nothing to do with you."

Hai Dian stood up, eyes cold.

Despite their fear, the students didn't retreat further. Many people were watching, and they'd rather be beaten than seem cowardly.

"Who's making noise? If you want to fight, take it outside," someone called out from a second-floor room. It was Lars, looking down at everyone.

Seeing Lars, many students were terrified, and even the music stopped.

Behind Lars was Mono, now back to his full strength, adding to the pressure.

Others started coming out of the private rooms, including Flame Gang, looking proud.

"Sorry, Senior Lars. We didn't mean to disturb you," the tall student quickly apologized.

Lars looked arrogantly around. He enjoyed this feeling of superiority, where no one dared to speak to him. Seeing everyone go silent at his presence, including soldiers, made him feel powerful.

Wait, someone was still drinking. Lars frowned. How dare someone ignore him? "You, get up," he shouted.

Everyone looked and saw it was Lu Yin.

Eder and Hai Dian exchanged odd glances.

The tall student's eyes brightened as he glared at Lu Yin. "Hey, kid, Lars is talking to you. Didn't you hear?"

Lu Yin put down his drink. "Can't even have a peaceful drink," he muttered, looking up with a smile at Lars.

Instantly, Lars' face turned dark. Not just him, but Mono, Flame Gang, and the students behind them all had dark expressions. What was this guy doing here?
