Chapter 13 - Chaos In Police Station

"Ah-Rong, you go ahead and send Qingqing to the office first," Yan Yan said, wiping the corner of his mouth. "Yes, sir," Ah-Rong responded.

"Aren't you going?" Tang Qing asked questioningly.

"I'll go later; I have some matters to attend to this morning," Yan Yan smiled.

"Alright then, be careful," Tang Qing reminded.

"Okay!" Yan Yan's smile grew brighter, but his expression turned cold as he thought about what he had to do later.

The group arrived at the police station headquarters. What exactly were they there to do? Even the bodyguards accompanying them seemed unsure, as assistant Zhang and the lawyers usually handled these matters. What kind of person could make Yan Yan himself come out?

At that moment, the police chief respectfully bowed to Yan Yan. "Mr. Yan, we've found the person you were looking for. He's in Room A4. Do you want us to accompany you, or would you like to go in alone?"

The chief was visibly nervous, unsure of what Yan Yan planned.

"No need, I'll go in by myself," Yan Yan said, smiling, but the smile looked more like a sinister grin, not a genuine one.

As soon as Yan Yan stepped into the room, he saw the man sitting across from him - the same one who had accidentally injured Tang Qing at the music festival the previous day.

"So, you're the one who injured a woman at the music festival yesterday, aren't you?" Yan Yan's words were casual, but they carried an underlying tension.

"Yes, but it was an accident. I didn't mean to hurt anyone. The woman only had a minor injury; there's hardly even a scar," the man explained cautiously.

The tension in the room was palpable, thick as London fog. Yan Yan's usually steely demeanor had cracked, revealing vulnerability beneath the surface.

"That's all I needed to know." Yan swung a chair from the side at the man's head. "Hey, what are you doing?" the man tried to resist, but it was futile. Soon, blood started to ooze from the man's head, and he cried out in agony. "Ahh... Help! I don't know what I did wrong. You can't do this to me; I'll sue you!"

In the monitoring room, the police chief and assistant Zhang watched the footage with growing unease, genuinely fearing this man who seemed possessed by a demonic force.

"Zhang, I'm afraid this might end in a death," the chief said.

"Hmm, let's go check on them," assistant Zhang and the bodyguards quickly went to Room A4 and opened the door. "Get out!" Yan Yan shouted.

Assistant Zhang slowly approached Yan Yan. "Sir, just now, Tang Qing called and said you should stay calm and not act rashly. Perhaps she's worried that... you know..."

Assistant Zhang tried to use Tang Qing to rein in Yan Yan's violent impulses. "No, Qingqing won't know about this," Yan said, putting down the chair. The police then quickly took the injured man to another location.

"Sir, do you want to call Tang Qing?" assistant Zhang asked. Yan, who had just been in a tearful rage, now looked lost and worried, his furrowed brow revealing his concern.

The scene at the police station was a stark contrast to the initial calm and casual atmosphere. Yan, a man usually composed and in control, had suddenly unleashed a violent outburst, seemingly triggered by the mention of the woman he cared for, Tang Qing.

What exactly had happened between Yan Yan and this man to elicit such a reaction? And what was the connection between Yan Yan, Tang Qing, and this incident? The situation turned dark, leaving the police and Yan Yan's associates deeply unsettled.

As Yan Yan's expression shifted from rage to uncertainty, it became clear that his actions were not entirely intended. The underlying emotions and tensions at play were complex, hinting at a deeper narrative that had yet to be fully revealed.

The police chief and assistant Zhang remained wary, knowing they were dealing with a powerful and unpredictable figure. Their next steps would be crucial in navigating this delicate situation and preventing further escalation.

The police chief and Assistant Zhang exchanged another glance. Tang Qing was too important to Yan Yan, and having bad things about Tang Qing was like navigating his minefield. Their next step is to hopefully find a solution quickly so the man can avoid certain death. The people in the room seemed to be holding their breath, waiting for the storm to pass or for words to unleash their full fury. At the heart of it all is Tang Qing, a woman who unknowingly becomes the center of jealousy, intrigue, and complex relationships. The emotional web tightens, threatening to trap everyone involved.

Yan Yan's eyes stayed on the message Tang Qing sent him on the phone. Yan didn't know how much she could protect Tang Qing from the surrounding darkness. His love for her is both his strength and his vulnerability.

The police chief cleared his throat and broke the silence. "Mr. Yan, Yan, we have to be careful. Have you ever thought about the relationship between that man and Tang Qing?

Yan Yan gritted her teeth. "He's more dangerous than he seems," he answered cryptically. "And he might know something."

Assistant Zhang and the director exchanged a look. "What about Tang Qing?"

Yan Yan nodded. "I think someone sent him."

The room felt smaller and suffocating. Tang Qing's face flashed before Yan Yan's eyes, the way she smiled, and the warmth in her eyes. He couldn't lose her, not now, not ever. But the shadows are closing in, threatening to consume them both.

Raindrops were beating on the window, and the melancholy rhythm reflected Yan Yan's uneasiness. He had always been a man of action, but he wondered if it was too late this time. Tang Qing's safety hangs in the balance, and a storm is about to break out.

The police chief leaned forward. "We will find out what he knows, Mr. Yan. But remember, sometimes the truth is more dangerous than lies.

Yanyan's fingers caressed the scar on his cheek - a mark of his past that he could not escape. "I've danced with danger before," he whispered. "This time, I won't let it take her away."
