Chapter 10 - 10

Pandora made a trip into the changing room again to try out a maid costume.

She did not realize what was about to happen since she was not on full alert until she heard the sounds of glass shattering.

Bullets came flying towards her at a high speed and hit her body but they bounced off her tough body barely even scratching her skin.

Pandora looked at her damaged clothes and sighed before stepping out to see the scene of Gene lying motionless in her blood.

The look on her face turned into panic. 'Why is she so weak? How could this happen!?'

She thought that Gene was just as powerful or more powerful than the other creations Dr Blush made.

She thought that Gene had been suppressing her power level or had a way to hide it but she found that she was wrong.

She felt ashamed and angry that she had miscalculated and failed to protect Gene so she focused her senses.

She picked up on the scents on the bullets and then sharpened her sense of smell to find traces of the same smell.

Her face turned colder and she then ran out towards the outside of the store before flying up into the air leaving the body of Gene behind.

The blood and flesh around Gene started to move all of a sudden as if it had a life of its own.

It moved towards her body as if it was naturally drawn to it and then entered through the many holes in her body.

They all soon merged with her and the wounds closed up.

Color started to return to her face and her eyes opened suddenly.

A fearful look was in her eyes which had hints of pain within from her near-death experience.

Gene sat up and clutched her body where she had been hurt. "Ack.. argh.. waah!"

It was her first time being harmed and it was very serious to the point that she could have died.

Fortunately, Dr Blush studied all kinds of species that did not require organs, blood, and many other natural human functions to live. Just like how a jellyfish, lizard, and many other species survived, Gene could survive all kinds of conditions and heal from anything so long as a tiny part of her genetics remained.
