Chapter 9 - 9

In an unknown location very far away, there was a tall and thin man sitting in an office room.

There were several magical artifacts and tools all around him. The man was seated at his desk with a communication device attached to the side of his face. He had a large orange beard and orange eyes while he was dressed in robes.

On his desk was a sign that had words written clearly in bold writing that said. 'SIT (Supernatural Investigation Taskforce) Director Hogan'

In front of his eyes were many screens that showed views of different locations.

He studied them for a while before speaking. "Subject Wolf has left her home. She has entered the nearby city. I repeat. Wolf has left her home and has a new addition with her. All available troops move out. We are dealing with dangerous individuals, use kill shots only."

On the screen were videos of Pandora and Gene leaving the forest and then taking on their disguises before they entered the store.

A voice on the other end asked him. "Director? The other subject is a child. I need confirmation of orders."

There was a hint of hesitation in their voice as if they were uncertain about carrying out their duty against a child.

Director Hogan knit his brows and coldly responded. "All targets under watch are high threat level and those related to them are the same. No mercy can be shown or we will run the risk of failures and suffer great losses. Believe in your cause even if your target takes on the appearance of a child."

"Yes, director!" "Understood!" The orders from above were absolute and everyone knew of the threats that came if they failed.

They had already suffered many losses to supernatural-related events and it could not happen again.

Once the order was given, there was a cut-off of communications.

Positioned up high on tall building rooftops were soldiers who were overlooking the city.

They set up their weapons after taking them out of their suitcases and then aimed them downward.

Moments later inside the store, the window shattered and Gene was lying in a pool of her blood.
