Elias and Tessa had been walking for over thirty minutes, and neither of them appeared to be tired of it. Tessa was eager to resume walking, while Elias was making amends for failing to protect her. It was a win-win situation for both so they were comfortable.
While they walked, Tessa's stomach grumbled, and she smiled nervously at Elias, which made him smile as well.
Without warning, he carried her in a bridal style and walked back to the bed, dropping her on it, and said, "I will get you food, give me some minutes."
Elias returned with various dishes that made Tessa's mouth water with desire. Her stomach was empty, and she could not wait to start eating the food.
Elias turned to face her after placing the tray on the table, and she lowered her head, acting as if she was unaffected by his actions. He approached her and carried her again without warning, then strode to the table and dropped her onto the chair in front of it.
