DAN ( POV)
Looking around, searching for nothing in particular I stopped and fold my arms over my chest not knowing what we are chasing
" King Dragan it's a force alarm nothing is wrong with the protective barrier I didn't feel anybody's presence there's no intruder "
Even with what I said Dragan inspected the castle moving around with great speed hoping to find something
" You should reserve your strength for up coming battles" i said
" Alright I don't think I'm needed here I will take my leave now I have a beautiful soul waiting for me"
"You go nowhere Dan let's inspect the woods behind the castle wall " he ordered
I'm your best friend not your men Dragan
Grumbling I said. " This is a job meant for Karl he's best at it not me "
" I believe you know he isn't around given that he first came to you "
" I know "
" We are the ones around so we need to inspect the place "
" But no one will dare to invade the palace "
" We don't know that " he said walking further into the woods
After searching the woods and found no one we went back to the castle but it was already sunrise
" Get me the paperwork we've got a lot of work to cover today we're lagging behind "
" Hell no, do that yourself first you deprived me of my sleep and now you want to stress me it's your responsibility I'm not the king "
" Vampires don't sleep at night "
" Well this vampire does, I'm not a demon like you that has great strength and endurance I've got my limits, I need to rest "
I said climbing the stairs leading to the second floor
" Get me the paperwork when you're done nagging " he said teleporting to his study room I presume
' ugh what a pain in the ass, body, soul. It's better to stay in hell than to stay with Dragan for eternity '
Still grumbling inwardly I went to my room to clean up and dress up before heading to irenes'
" Look Irene one day I'm going to poison your kid bro he's getting on my nerves " I said looking at the ladies
" You get on everybody's nerves " the female said making me frown
" Why are you here?" I asked the female
"Stop been rude Dan "
" I'm not sugar plum it's a question, why is she still here it's already sunrise "
"Oh thank you so much for telling me it's dawn I thought it was midnight " she said with sarcasm

" You should be pestering your soon to be husband not torturing innocent being give that workaholic a nice massage he didn't sleep last night "
" You nag alot, you lack the qualities of a man Dan" she said finally leaving the room " You lack the qualities of a woman, female"
I shouted and I know she heard me
" Sugar plum do you know your brother is getting married to a man ? I won't be surprised if Drago finds out on his wedding night "
" you're too mean to her Dan, you get along with people well why are you different to her?"
Honestly I don't know why I act different towards her , I'm just mad Drago didn't tell me he decided to get married to a lady that wasn't his mate it's not going to end well, I will not make friend with her only to hurt her in the end
"Give me a kiss sugar plum you missed me didn't you"
" Don't change the topic Dan" she said sternly sounding like my mother
" I will be right back hon i need to get the paperwork" I said running off
Meanwhile somewhere in the woods ....
" Why the hell would you go there Nova "
" I miss him Beel I'm tired of waiting I needed to see him"
" We almost got discovered because of your carelessness, you couldn't just look at his face and leave immediately Nova you called his name"
" I'm sorry I didn't expect him to hear me you know I always do that anytime we visit him he doesn't hear me "

" He heard me, we've been going there and he never hears us why did he now ?"
" Hmm it's strange, I don't know Nova stay away from the castle for now till we find out why he was able to hear you"

" Then you should stay clear" The man said dragging the lady along with him
SHARA (POV)
" Do you know where the king is?" I asked a maid carrying a tray full of fruits
" He's in his study room my lady"
" Thank you" I stopped on my tracks asking another question
" Wait where is his study room?"
She looked me like I was some kind of alien asking strange questions
" The first door by your right my lady"
Heading to the first floor I paused ' why I'm I going to meet him ? Dan said he didn't sleep last night do you care for him? is not that I care I need to get into character my plan must go smoothly. Reaching the door described to me by the maid I knocked
" Come in " hearing his chilling voice I inhale and exhale before entering
Walking inside I stopped next to the table looking at his study room in awe
Books everywhere, in the shelfs, table the room smells of old books and I love it
Aside the garden this is my second favorite place, I love books I could trade the world for this. I turned feeling his attentive, icy gaze I felt a shiver going through me unlike any i have ever experienced before
She stood staring at him and he did same she no longer know how to begin the conversation
He sat on the couch placing his elbow on the back of the couch and leaned his head on his hand. Dragan didn't take his eyes off Shara , red eyes stared back at her, his gold hair a little disheveled
" I came to check on you Dan told me you haven't take a nap, you need to rest for a while my lord" I said breaking the silence by acting sweet like I cared. He kept staring at me with no emotion on his face
" My lord"
" I'm fine, the ladies in waiting will be here soon to have tea with you they will educate you on how the queen of the old ruled Persia with their king"
I would have gone to the library or garden now look what I've gotten into, I creased my brows thinking
