Chapter 84 - Memories of Love and Loyalty

Raven's eyes widened in horror as King Morwen proposed the sacrifice. Give up his memories? It was too much to ask. He couldn't bear the thought of forgetting the people he loved, like his fiancée, Lyra, and his friends.

As he thought about Lyra, a wave of nostalgia washed over him. He remembered their laughter, their adventures, and their whispered promises. He recalled the way she would blush when he teased her, and the way she would always know exactly what to say to make him feel better.

He also thought of his friends, like Arin and Eira. They had been through thick and thin together, sharing countless battles and triumphs. He remembered the way they would joke around, always making each other laugh.

Raven's resolve hardened. He couldn't give up those memories. They were a part of who he was, and he wouldn't sacrifice them for anything.

"I refuse," Raven said, his voice firm. "I won't give up my memories, no matter what the cost."

King Morwen's expression turned cold. "You're making a grave mistake, Prince Raven," he said. "The Chronicle's secrets are too great to be ignored. You're putting your kingdom and your people at risk by refusing."

Raven stood tall, his determination unwavering. "I'll find another way," he said. "I won't abandon my people or my loved ones for some ancient book."

The room fell silent, with only the sound of Raven's heavy breathing breaking the tension.

Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows - Lyra herself. Her eyes blazed with determination as she approached Raven.

"Raven, don't do this," she said, her voice urgent. "We can find another way to save our kingdoms. We don't have to sacrifice your memories."

Raven's heart skipped a beat as he met her gaze. He knew that Lyra would never ask him to give up something so precious without a fight.
