Raven's eyes were still fixed on the final entry in the book, his mind reeling with questions. Who had written this? Why had they done it? And most importantly, what did it all mean?
As he looked up, he saw Kaelara standing before him, her expression unreadable.
"Who wrote this?" Raven demanded, his voice firm.
Kaelara's eyes seemed to cloud over, and for a moment, Raven thought he saw a flicker of sadness in her gaze.
"I did," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Raven's grip on the book tightened. "Why?" he asked.
Kaelara's eyes seemed to bore into his soul. "I wrote this to guide you," she said. "To help you remember who you truly are."
Raven's mind was reeling. "But why?" he repeated.
Kaelara's expression turned melancholy. "Because I loved you," she said. "I loved you before you lost yourself. And I wanted to help you find your way back."
Raven felt a pang of shock, followed by a wave of confusion. He looked at Lyra and Mira, but they seemed just as stunned as he was.
"But...but why would you do that?" Lyra asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Kaelara's eyes clouded over again. "Because I was your past," she said. "Your true self. And I knew that if you remembered me, you would remember who you truly are."
The room seemed to spin around Raven as he tried to process Kaelara's words. He thought back to their journey so far, and all the clues that had led him here.
"Wait," he said, his voice shaking with realization. "You're my...my soulmate?"
Kaelara nodded, her eyes filled with tears. "Yes," she said. "We were meant to be together. But fate tore us apart, and I was left behind to guide you back."
Raven felt like his entire world had been turned upside down. He looked at Lyra and Mira, who were watching him with concern etched on their faces.
"What does this mean?" Lyra asked.
Raven took a deep breath, trying to process the revelation. "It means that I've been living someone else's life," he said. "And now I have to find a way to make things right."
