Maggie practically bounced with excitement as she wrapped Alina in a tight hug.
"Oh, it's so good to see you again!" Maggie said.
"And look at you!" Alina pulled away, playfully swatting Maggie's shoulder. "You look amazing!"
"That's a lie," Maggie scoffed. "I'm getting old."
Alina laughed. "No, you're not. You look just as beautiful as ever."
Maggie smirked. "Well, thank you. And you—" she teased, eyeing Alina up and down, "you've grown even more beautiful. Isn't that right, Alpha?"
Marcus had just stepped into the kitchen, his arms crossed, a deep chuckle escaping his lips. His gaze locked onto Alina, intense and unrelenting.
"Yes, she is." His voice was smooth but full of hunger.
Alina raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Like what?" Marcus feigned innocence.
