Marcus, hair still damp from the shower, rushed out of the bathroom, his bare feet slapping against the wooden floor as he frantically searched the room, yanking on his clothes. Alina followed closely behind, her eyes wide with confusion and fear.
"Where are you?" Marcus shouted, his voice echoing through the room as he pulled on his shirt, his hands moving so quickly they fumbled with the buttons. He glanced over his shoulder, his eyes dark with anger. "Show yourself!"
Alina, now dressed and trembling slightly, wrapped her arms around herself. "Marcus, what is going on? Why would Alexander come here, to your house?" Her voice wavered as she watched Marcus.
A cold, mocking voice floated into the room, causing both of them to freeze. "You lovebirds are really fast—already showering together." The sinister laughter that followed echoed through the room like a dark cloud.
