All eyes were on Knife as he boldly sat in Elder Luke's chair, his legs crossed and a smug grin on his face. He tilted his head slightly, amusement glinting in his eyes.
"So," Knife began, his voice dripping with arrogance, "don't stop the meeting on my account. I'd love to hear what your esteemed old men and women have decided."
Elder Luke's face darkened as he took a step forward, standing directly in front of Knife. His voice was stern, with an edge of authority. "First of all, Knife, show some respect. Stand up from my seat. It seems you've grown more arrogant than before."
Knife chuckled, his grin widening. "You think so? I believe I'm still the same man. Maybe you just don't know me as well as you claim."
Luke's eyes narrowed. "No, I know you quite well. But you've grown bolder, disrespecting me like this," he gestured toward the chair Knife was occupying. "And last time I checked, you were expelled from this town. What are you doing here?"
