There was no way she was falling for this trick, she thought. But why were her cheeks heating up when he stared at her that way?
She suddenly shifted in her seat, feeling uncomfortable and self-aware.
"No, but it would have been a great excuse as to why you're having this effect on me," Storm responded, "Raven, I cannot deny this. I want you and I'll stop at nothing to ensure we're together."
'Stupid punch line.'
"Is it really?" Ava questioned coolly.
"You'll get nothing from me," Raven hissed. Her words had intended to get across to her wolf but she voiced it out to both of them.
"That's fine. I'm a patient man, Rav. I will wait."
Raven chuckled and looked away. "I don't have time for your this. If you're done, let's get this over and done with."
"Sure," Storm responded.
