CHAPTER 24
Raven's eyes widened in surprise when Storm's lips met hers. Taking her gasp as an opportunity, he pushed his tongue in, tasting her.
Storm moaned softly into the kiss, his eyes closed as he forced the memory of her death out of his mind.
Raven quickly relaxed into the kiss, her lips softening beneath Storm's. She could feel his fear and anxiety through their bond, but also his relief and gratitude.
As easily as she would have pulled away and granted them some space, she found herself failing in that attempt.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, deepening the kiss, trying to chase away the lingering shadows of his nightmare.
The air was electric with tension, their bodies drawn together like magnets. Raven couldn't deny what she felt through the bond.
It felt right. It felt like she belonged in his arms and her lips were meant for him.
