Shawn pushed open the door to the Jayden mansion, the heavy wood creaking as it swung inward and then with force, he slammed it behind him.
The day's weight hung on his shoulders pulling his mood further into the depths of frustration. Yasmin's words to be left alone still echoed in his mind, sharp and unforgiving, slicing through his thoughts like a sharp dagger.
As he stepped inside, the first thing that caught his eye was Silver, lounging on the couch in the living room, a glass of juice in her hand and the TV softly humming in the background.
Her serene expression grated on his nerves, adding salt to the wound of his already disastrous day.
He scoffed loudly, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "At least someone's having a good day."
