'I can't believe the nerve of her. Why is she acting this way? It's almost as if...'
The thought hit her like a ton of bricks.
"Ah! I see. So that's how it is," she whispered, her eyes narrowing. "So you're that kind of friend."
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"You don't have to pretend," Scarlet said. "I already know what's happening."
"And what would that be?"
"Is this because of Raven? Trust me I felt bad too that the girl I thought was my sister was an imposter."
"Are you finished?"
"No. Just, you should believe me when I say I have tried reaching out to her but all my letters are just...she doesn't respond. I want to help her, really."
"You should have thought of that before your family ruined her life and all she's known. It's not like you are a true Ryker either way."
"I am a true Ryker unlike her," Scarlet snapped.
