Seeing as her host was one heck of a stubborn headed soul, Ava's voice softened. "You can't keep running forever."
"Maybe not," Raven admitted, "but I can sure as hell try."
"And die a mateless werewolf." Ava finished.
Raven's eyes widened at that. "You know other wolves, from what I've heard, understand and sympathize with their hosts. But you?"
"I'm looking out for you, admit it or not. You are more powerful when mated than not. You can't starve the mate bond."
Raven's jaw tightened. "Never mind. Just…"
Just then, her phone rang, breaking the conversation. She released her jaw and glanced at the caller ID—Storm.
Rolling her eyes, she ended the call without picking it up. A few seconds later, it rang again. She ended the call once more, and then he called again.
