Baraion was sitting in his cabin fuming. Yesterday he lost a battle. The girl who broke his heart won. The girl who left him crying, won. Papers and various documents were kept on his table, but he was staring at his door without blinking. He stared at the door for a few minutes. He looked at the papers on his desk and they screamed that he lost. He lost badly. The papers were mocking him. Now Tauraks had more shares in VRIK than Draculs. Tauraks were richer than Draculs. Tauraks won, Draculs lost.
Now humans could rub it in in vampire's face. They won. The vampires were at the bottom of the food chain. The news channels would mock him day and night. He could not take the humiliation that would come his way in a few hours. Vampires were the ruling party ages ago, now they were nothing. His boss was a lycan and a human just defeated him. They used to rule over everything and now everything was changing.
He was gritting his teeth with anger. He wanted Talindra to always lose. He lost his heart to her, and she broke it into pieces. She not only broke it, but she also crushed it. He hated her. He hated love. Now, he only knew lust. Lust never gave him any grief, only girlfriends. He changed girlfriends like socks. Presently he had five girlfriends, but none could fill that void. The void Talindra created in his heart. The peace and calmness he felt with her were gone, only anger remained, only lust remained.
No matter which girl he would be with, he would dream about Talindra. She imprinted in his heart, and no one could take her place. He hated her even more for that. She ruined him for other girls. No matter how many girls he kissed, how many girls he had sex with, none compared to Talindra. It was as if she was mocking him from far away. She had a hold on him and no matter what he did, nothing could erase that hold.
He stared at the documents, screamed at them, and threw everything off his table on the floor. He picked his chair up and kept hitting it on the floor, repeatedly while screaming loudly. No one dared to enter his cabin. Many people passed by but said nothing. Everyone knew Draculs and Tauraks were enemies and he just lost. He was in a competition that their parents started and now Talindra almost finished it by winning. It was a humiliating day for vampires.
When he was finished taking out his anger on the chair, he stood up, slicked back his hair, straightened his shirt and vest, picked up his jacket from the stand and went outside. A scared man who was his personal secretary was sitting outside his cabin. He was shivering with fear. He was even afraid to look him into his eyes. Due to anger, the irises of Baraion's eyes were redder. The secretary lowered his head further when Baraion came out of his office.
"Clean up the mess," said Baraion to that man and walked away. His eyes were red, his nose kept flaring with anger. As soon his personal secretary heard his voice, he jumped from his seat and nodded but Baraion had walked away by then.
"I can't take it anymore. I am going to quit. Yes, I will quit," shouted the Secretary.
Baraion went up to the parking lot and sat in his car. Even the luxurious car didn't make him feel better. He was burning from the inside; his blood was boiling. He wanted Talindra to suffer but she was winning. He couldn't understand why he was not angry at Airaj. He was the one who deceived him not Talindra.
But he knew no matter what happened in his life he always held her responsible. If he had a loss in his department, he would hold her responsible. If somehow, he would touch the water and get rashes as Vampires did, he would hold her responsible. Sometimes, he would stumble and fall all because he would be thinking about Talindra and not looking where he was going. No matter what happened to him, it was always Talindra's fault.
"Shit! Shit! Shit!" he shouted and punched his steering wheel. The horn of the car blared loudly. That jolted him out of his anger. He ran his palms over his face and inhaled and exhaled a few times to calm himself down.
He knew that his increased heart rate was not good for humans who were walking nearby. Increased heart rate would mean that his fangs would be out, and he could not control the smell of the blood that his nose would start picking. It was forbidden by the law to drink human blood and he would be in great trouble.
He closed his eyes, but Talindra's face floated in front of his eyes. Her beautiful eyes, her pretty lips, her soft cheeks, all were teasing him.
"Will you not let me live in peace? Leave me alone," he shouted. "You think you won; I will show you who won in life." Violently he started his car, drove like a maniac and got out of the parking lot. He never used to wear a seat belt, not that he needed it. Yet there were humans on the road and had to think about them, but he had no concern for anyone that day.
Without thinking twice about anyone's safety, he took out his phone while driving and called up one of his girlfriends.
"Want to come to a party tonight?" inquired Baraion.
"You are going to a party?" asked the girlfriend, surprised.
"Do you want to go?" Baraion rolled his eyes and inquired again.
"Of course," she said, excitedly.
"Be ready around 8. I will pick you up."
"Fine, darling," flirted the girlfriend.
"Hmm." He disconnected the call and smirked as if he already won with Talindra.
He then called up two more of his girlfriends and asked them whether they would like to go to the party with him. They all were surprised at first as he never used to attend a party, but they said yes to the party. He was smiling from ear to ear. Talindra would die after seeing three girls in his arms. That feeling made him happy.
He reached his home and took out his best tuxedo by Kiton. He had to look his best today. He had to make her jealous, that was his only move. No matter if he lost, he had to show that he was happy without her, content without her. He placed the tuxedo on his bed and ran outside. He had to announce a very important message before his family got out of the house for the party.
