Chapter 128 - Hunger

Rise could not laugh for long since he was too exhausted and the wounds had started acting up; his whole body was in tormenting pain. He fell silent and closed his eyes, waiting for his death. 

He had been drained by that move. Rise had used all that the current him could do. Some of it also came from his desperation to kill that pet as a means of revenge, which was not easy and caused a lot from him, who was already critically injured. 

For a while, he did not feel anything or hear anything besides the ringings in his ears. Perhaps, the man was busy mourning the loss of his monster. 

Time passed. Rise was even beginning to show signs of drowsiness. He did not know how much time passed before finally hearing a rustling sound as the presence of the man became apparent again, standing beside him. 

"You killed my pet." 

Yeah, that I did. And it felt so fucking good. Rise only responds inwardly. The man did not seem to care about his lack of reaction.
