"Okay, do not panic," Valeric said as he locked in her seatbelt.
"Panic for what?" Stella snorted, amused.
Valeric walked over to the other side and took his seat in the driver's spot. "I've been learning how to drive much more properly. So relax, there is no need to panic."
Her lips parted, and she stared at him unblinking.
"Are you crazy?"
"What?"
"You tell me this, and you expect me not to panic? You could have kept it to yourself and just drove, maybe I wouldn't be worried you might crash us."
"But I won't."
"Uh huh. Says the one who had to indirectly give me some kind of warning." She clicked her tongue at him and held her seatbelt. "It's fine. Drive. If we die, you're coming with me. We'll die together."
Valeric paused and looked at her. "You wouldn't mind dying with me?"
