Arshe's silence was deafening, and his expression remained unreadable. He reached out to her, but Marina recoiled, shaking her head as if she couldn't bear to be touched by him. She backed away, wiping the tears from her face with a shaky hand.
"I can't do this anymore, Arshe." Her voice was barely above a whisper, but it carried the weight of everything she had been holding back. "Do you know how hard it is to love you when...when all you do is hurt me?"
Marina turned on her heel, her mind spinning, her heart shattered. She moved toward the door, but before she could take another step, Arshe's voice cut through the air like a knife.
"If you leave, I'll continue with them," he said, his voice hardening with the cruel edge of a threat, saying words she knew he meant.
