Yes, she still loved Zane and not once had the thought of rejecting him ever crossed her mind. But that was until she saw him jump over the wall barely seconds after Arshe had left. Terrified at what would have happened if Arshe was still there or close by.
"I, Tahra, re–" she said, about to reject him, something she felt she should have done at a much earlier time.
But the words had just left her mouth when she suddenly saw Zane jerk to the left with a surprised look on his face.
She was still wondering what was happening when she began to hear footsteps, unexpected and heavy ones that showed whoever it was was headed right in their direction.
"You need to leave," Tahra snapped at him, stepping closer to grab his hand and pull him closer to the wall.
"Right now!" Tahra urged him, pulling his hand only to see Zane jerk his hand away, turning to face her instead of heading towards the wall, where he was supposed to go.
