The next morning, Tahra got dressed and prepared for work. The only evidence of her emotional breakdown was her red and puffy eyes. The floor was still as wet as it had been when she entered the room the day before, and the only difference was her clothes that covered almost every surface of the room.
Tahra ignored the water at her feet as she picked up her bag and headed out the door, making her way straight to the lobby. It didn't take long before she found the manager in charge of the guesthouse.
"My tap is broken, and my room is flooded. I also need all my clothes taken care of," Tahra said to the woman, who had the audacity to look surprised. Tahra had only stayed in the room for a couple of days, which meant that the tap was definitely faulty or had been poorly fixed.
