Still, Tahra didn't care and was simply glad that they were gone.
Feeling a slight pain still thrumming through her scalp, Tahra went to sit back in her previous position. She grabbed the bag containing her packed lunch about to open it only for her to fling it to the side in anger.
Tears slowly welled up in her eyes as she did her best to stop them from falling.
Munak wasn't going to give up, especially Harry whom she had punched.
'I hate it here! They don't want me just as much!' Tahra thought of regretting coming to the territory instead of going to X instead.
But the thought had just popped into her mind when she suddenly heard a loud thumping sound, shocked to look to the side and see someone dressed in black from head to toe.
It only took a couple of seconds before she identified the intruder as Zane, the second he turned to look at her, with his hood still raised over his head.
"I think they should be distracted for a while! Are you okay?" Zane asked and Tahra felt a burning need to lash out in anger as the source of her problems opened his mouth to ask her such a stupid question.
"You should leave! You're the last person I ever want to see!" Tahra said, lowering her head between her legs to try and hide the tears brimming in her eyes.
But Zane didn't know that and the fact that Tahra refused to even look at him, pissed him off a lot.
To get to territory A, he had driven three hours back and forth the previous day and had barely gotten any sleep because of the amount of work he needed to make up for.
Yet, he had gotten up early the next morning to do the same exact thing, yet Tahra didn't even look at him, making it obvious that his presence was still something that irritated her.
"Really? Who else would you rather see? Maybe the real question should be who else would drive all the way here to see you?" Zane responded in a more heated tone, as he felt the headache he had been suppressing start to roar its head.
"I came here to see you Tahra. As Alpha, do you even know what that means? The amount of work I had to put behind me to sneak around here for hours while making sure I don't--"
"You make it sound like I begged you! I never asked you to do anything Zane, You chose to do that on your own!" Tahra interrupted raising her head to glare at him with lightly red eyes.
"Really? That's not what I saw when those people held you down. You looked like you were on your last--"
Tahra was ashamed of being seen in such a desolate and weak situation. Just because she was weak didn't mean that she enjoyed being seen in such a manner.
"Wow! So you saw me and you--"
"--and I found a way to distract them!" Zane cut in, with a fierce look on his face about to continue only to stop for a few seconds when he realized how loud his tone was.
Only to start speaking again in a much softer tone, when he saw the anger and fear deep in Tahra's eyes.
"I would never have stood by and watched them hurt you Tahra! I swear! I truly care about you!" Zane told her moving closer to close the distance between them.
But Tahra simply took a step back, trying to put more distance between her and Zane while trying to hold back the tears in her eyes.
The fact that Zane was the only one standing in front of her made her even more self-aware of just how alone she was.
"I would never watch and let anyone hurt you," Zane said, using that chance to live closer until he wrapped his hands around her waist, tightly in a way that prevented her from wiggling away.
"I love you Tahra! You know that!" Tara heard him say with such intensity and sincerity that Tahra couldn't help but be a little taken aback by his words.
It was one she had heard multiple times but the sincerity in them was one that was even more intense than before.
Which was why for a split second, standing in his arms Tahra couldn't help but put behind her the rejection she had experienced.
At that very moment, Tahra again believed that Zane still cared for her. That he wouldn't come such a long way to see her if he didn't.
It was the only reason Tahra lifted her head to fix her gaze on him, saying the words that had been stuck in her heart before she was too proud to say them.
"If you care about me then Rescind the Banishment order!" Tara found herself saying in a tone akin to a whisper, only to speak loudly a second later with a determined expression on her face as she openly begged for it with tears brimming in her eyes.
"Zane Please!!! Please let me come home!!" Tahra pleaded to do something she had sworn she would never do.
The circumstances had changed enough for her to see how much of a danger it was for her to remain in the pack.
Recalling the look Harry, Munak's friend whom she had punched had on his face made her realize just how unwilling he looked to let it go.
'He's definitely going to get revenge!' Knowing that Munak wouldn't also stop messing with her just because she wanted it.
Back in A territory, most of them had just ignored her and she would have been fine if it continued.
"Please Zane!!! I don't even have to be Luna!!" Tahra continued as she talked with her head buried in his chest hugging him tightly.
Only to feel her heart start to pound in fear and agitation after a few seconds had passed and Zane was still yet to speak.
Tara immediately raised her head to look at his face, shocked by what she saw written clearly on it even before he had opened his mouth to respond.
It was another rejection, one that she hadn't been prepared for.
Tara immediately began to struggle to get out of his arms with as much power as she could, wanting to do so before the tears in her eyes began to slide down her cheeks.
