Raven whispered softly in her ear, his voice a soothing balm to her frayed nerves. His hand, which had impulsively embraced her in her grief, hesitated for a moment before beginning to gently pat her on the back.
"You don't have to put up with it if it gets hard. You can just let yourself go in front of me. Don't endure the pain by yourself."
Her eyes, which had been desperately holding back tears, began to loosen at Raven's words.
Tears poured continuously from her eyes as her tightly closed mouth slowly parted, allowing her to finally release the emotions she had kept bottled up for so long.
She never wanted to get sick. She never even wanted to be a burden to her family. Most importantly, she just wanted to be loved by them.
