Raven clamped his mouth shut, unable to come up with a suitable reply. He hated the thought of her being out and about, but he couldn't exactly keep her trapped inside forever.
Still, he was always worried, always watching her like she was about to trip over something invisible.
"That's why you're coming with me, right?" Seraphina said, reaching up to touch his hand. "You'll be there, so I'll be fine."
Her voice was soft and soothing, and Raven found himself nodding almost automatically, as if under her spell. She had that effect on him.
The servants around the house couldn't help but whisper among themselves, chuckling about how their Madame had once again "bewitched" their Master.
