"Seraphina, I was so happy when I found out about the baby. The thought of having a child that looks like you… it makes my heart swell." His voice cracked as he continued. "But since that day, I haven't slept properly. I'm terrified. What if something goes wrong? What if I lose you?"
He stood up abruptly, running his hands through his hair. His back was damp with sweat, and he felt trapped in his spiraling thoughts.
"I can't stop thinking about it. The fear just keeps eating at me. I don't want to imagine a life without you in it."
Seraphina reached out and wrapped her arms around him, pulling him close. "I'm sorry, Raven," she whispered through her tears. "But I can't give up on this child. If I do, I'll regret it for the rest of my life."
Raven closed his eyes, holding her tightly. He felt her trembling in his arms, and his resolve broke.
"Okay," he said, his voice barely a whisper. "We'll do it your way."
