The result: a screaming, burning girl and two mutilated corpses of pure-blooded aristocrats. Of course, the story was quickly investigated, what and how it was found out, and Fleur's innocence was proven. But in the eyes of the public, she became a dangerous monster, just waiting for someone to enchant her and finish her off. That's how the vacuum around the silver-haired wonder was created. Some are frankly afraid, some are suspicious, some follow public opinion, and some just don't care.
Fleur, in fact, is an outsider to society, so she developed a natural psychological defense — a contemptuous arrogance toward everyone around her. Though the attentive onlooker might notice that some of the blonde's reactions in the movie are not bitchy at all. As for the book, I didn't really get into it, to be honest.
But when you talk to her in person, knowing the reasons for such behavior, it becomes clear that the girl screws herself up in order to morally shut herself off from people, to protect herself from a possible threat. As far as I understand, there is nothing special in this: it is natural for a human being to protect himself from threats and pain.
The result of these meetings was my confusion and new thoughts. Confusion from a lot of new facts and information, meeting canon characters who live in this world. Thoughts on the other hand... I thought about many things. I even briefly fell into a strange state of a certain stupor, because accepting the fact of live communication with movie characters is not an easy thing at all. But living in this world, feeling its essence, its "taste", "smell", "colors" does not allow to doubt its reality.
I do not know how other "Gotadans" accept this idea, but with my sensitivity and abilities to perceive the world, I quickly realized — I am not dreaming, not delusional, the world is real, it is alive, and life in it is real. Have you met the beautiful Fleur and her cute little sister? Are they characters in the book and then the movie? I can feel their living spirits and the fire of their souls makes the magic flow through them. What more proof do I need that the world is real?
Still, before I met the Delacuras, I couldn't fully accept my visions, even knowing the existence of the three canon schools didn't change my mind much. Now there was nothing left to doubt, and I had to seek the benefit of my knowledge.
Again, it's a waste of water....
