Chance hissed into the phone, "Don't you touch my mom!" His voice was filled with anger and despair. The women who had died, YoYo and Keiko, came to mind, their fates haunting him like a nightmare. He must not let this happen again.
Chance decided to return to the lab because he couldn't think of any other way. He needed to talk to Lucy to find a way out of his predicament.
One day, Lucy meets Chance and they find a hidden forest. There, Lucy carefully unplugged her monitored voice system to make sure their conversation wasn't being listened to.
"Chance, I need to tell you something," Lucy began, a hint of exhaustion and helplessness in her voice. "I grew up in an assassin training camp, winning and surviving from a pack of fighters. I never knew who my real parents were, only that I was trained to be part of a weapon."
Chance listened quietly, he saw the girl in front of him, not just a cold-hearted assassin, but a soul struggling with her destiny.Lucy continued, "I wanted so much to break free from this fate, to live a normal life was so much of a luxury for me."
Her voice was low and firm, but the vulnerability it revealed made Chance's heart ache. He looked at this girl who was so forceful, tough and tender, and an urge to protect her welled up in his heart.
"Lucy, you're not alone," Chance said softly, "We'll find a way to escape this horrible organization and live a life of freedom."
Lucy gave him a grateful look and nodded. "I believe in you, Chance. but we need a well thought out plan, we can't rush into anything. the Alpha and his men are everywhere, we have to be careful."
Chance took a deep breath and nodded in agreement. They began to discuss their escape plan in the forest, using Lucy's fighting skills and Chance's wits to work out a series of steps. Every detail had to be considered, and any small mistake could lead to failure.
During the planning process, Lucy reveals more about her past and her experiences in the organization. She describes the brutality of the training camps, how she survived countless life-and-death battles, and her desire for an ordinary life.
"You know, Chance," Lucy whispered, "sometimes I dream about having a warm home with family and friends. Instead of living every day in killing and fear."
Chance looked at her with compassion and understanding. He reached out and took Lucy's hand in his, giving her a comforting strength. "We'll make this dream come true, Lucy. together."
Lucy continued speaking, her voice a mixture of urgency and sincerity. "Chance, do you understand? You think Alpha is terrifying, but he is just the tip of the iceberg. There are big names in this organization that you can't imagine, people who hold real wealth but don't show up on the Forbes list of billionaires.
Chance listened intently, his mind racing. He knew the danger they were in, but hearing Lucy spell it out made it all the more real.
"We're up against an enemy that operates in the shadows, whose influence stretches across politics, business, and every facet of society," Lucy continued. "These people are invisible but omnipotent. They pull the strings behind the scenes, manipulating events to suit their purposes. Our fight isn't just against Alpha; it's against an entire network of power that can crush us without a second thought."
Lucy paused, her eyes locking onto Chance's with a steely determination. "We have two choices: we can either continue to fight, knowing that we might have to sacrifice everything, including our lives, or you can choose to surrender now. But make no mistake, if we choose to fight, it will be a battle that requires every ounce of our courage and strength. Are you afraid, Chance?"
Chance took a deep breath, the weight of the decision pressing down on him. Images of YoYo and Keiko flashed through his mind—women he had loved and lost, victims of circumstances he could not control. He thought of his mother, her life hanging in the balance because of his actions. He couldn't let history repeat itself; he couldn't allow more innocent lives to be destroyed.
"No," Chance said firmly, meeting Lucy's gaze with unwavering resolve. "I'm not afraid. If we back down now, we'll never be free. We have to fight, no matter the cost."
Lucy nodded, a faint smile touching her lips. "Good. Because once we start this, there's no turning back. We'll need to be smart, strategic, and relentless. We'll need allies and a plan. But most importantly, we'll need each other. Alone, we're vulnerable. Together, we stand a chance."
They stood in the quiet forest, the leaves rustling softly in the breeze. The serenity of the surroundings contrasted sharply with the turmoil in their hearts. Chance felt a newfound sense of purpose. He had spent so long feeling helpless, but now, with Lucy by his side, he felt a spark of hope.
"We'll need to find out more about Alpha's operations and the extent of Freemason's influence," Chance said, thinking aloud. "If we can expose their activities, disrupt their plans, we might be able to weaken them from within."
Lucy nodded. "Agreed. We'll gather information, build a network of trusted allies, and strike when the time is right. But for now, we need to be cautious. Alpha and his associates will be watching our every move. We can't afford any mistakes."
As they made their way back through the forest, Chance couldn't help but marvel at Lucy's strength and resilience. She had survived a brutal upbringing in a killer's training camp, emerging as a formidable force. Yet, beneath her tough exterior, he sensed a deep longing for a normal life—a life free from violence and fear.
"Lucy," Chance said softly, breaking the silence. "Thank you for trusting me. I know this isn't easy for you, and I want you to know that I value your courage and strength. We're in this together, and I promise I won't let you down."
