Chance drove back to his mansion, only to see his mansion in darkness, a maid sat at the door with tears streaming down her face, when she saw the Fourth Prince, she stood up in a panic and cried out.
"Fourth Prince, Second Prince Simon sent people to cut all the candles in our house, the lanterns were smashed, we have no more lights." The servant said.
"This damnable Semon, to take revenge on me so soon. " Chance said angrily.
The inside of the mansion was dark and chance had to sit at the front door, when he saw the waterwheel in the garden pond he remembered what he had learned from his textbook.
"Generating electricity by waterwheel power, that's what I was taught in my textbook when I was a kid."He mused.
Suddenly, an inspiration flashed into his mind. "Let me think about it ... Well, if I can utilize the power of that waterwheel, I might be able to generate electricity!"
Driven by this new plan, he gathered the remaining servants inside the mansion. "Bring me some materials," he ordered. "We will not remain in the dark." With that chance and the servants set about designing a waterwheel to generate electricity.
They hastily gathered all the materials they could: copper wire from old upholstery, metal scraps from the kitchen, and wooden planks. chance began to sketch a basic generator, explaining his plan to the servants as he did so.
The servants didn't know any of this, they just went along with chance's idea.
"We're going to build a small hydroelectric generator. The water wheel will drive the generator and produce electricity to light our home."
Chance explained the principle of the generator. "The water wheel will utilize the kinetic energy of the flowing water. As the water wheel turns, it will drive the generator. The generator will convert the mechanical energy into electricity, which will be transmitted through copper wires and light the bulbs we have made."
The night was late, and the inside of the mansion was still dark, so they borrowed two candles from the vendors and worked hard with the little light they had.
With the help of his servants, Chance got to work. They fitted a small generator to the waterwheel and connected the shaft of the generator to the waterwheel with a series of gears and belts. Copper wires were carefully insulated with cloth and tar and led from the generator to the house.Chance made simple light bulbs out of glass jars, using metal wire as the filament. He explained how the electric current heated the metal filament, causing it to glow.
The process continued throughout the night, but as dawn approached, they were ready to test their creations. chance stood at the switch with anticipation and hope in his eyes. He took a deep breath and flipped the switch.
The water wheel began to spin, slowly at first, but faster and faster as the water pushed it along. The generator whirred and the mechanical parts hummed with energy. Moments later, the makeshift light bulb flickered on, and a warm, steady glow emanated throughout the mansion.
"Where is this light coming from, it's as bright as the sun." A servant said in surprise
"I've never seen this before, Fourth Highness, it's amazing" the servant girl said.
The servants gasped in surprise. "It worked! We have light!"
"But the light is neither a candle nor a lantern. Where is it coming from?" The maidservant continued to ask
One servant pointed to the bulb-like object and exclaimed, "That's the one! That's the glowing thing!"
Chance smiled, his heart filled with pride. "Yes, we do. This should teach Simon a lesson. We will not be easily defeated."
As the mansion fills with light, Chance realizes that the knowledge he's gained from the future isn't just a lifeline, but a weapon. He can use the science and technology he has learned to outsmart his opponents.
Over the next few days, Chance improved his hydroelectric system. He optimized the gear ratios to increase the efficiency of the water wheel and improved the insulation of the wires to prevent energy loss. Word of his invention soon spread through the palace and even reached the ears of the emperor.
All this also reached the ears of Semon, who became even more jealous of Chance's talent, so he met privately with the Grand Prince Hery, the Emperor's favorite of the Grand Emperor's God. semon joined forces with the Grand Prince Hery, and the two plotted that there would be a future in which they must find an opportunity to get rid of the Fourth Prince!
That afternoon, a court messenger came to Chance's mansion. He announced, "The Emperor has summoned the Fourth Prince."
Confident in his invention of the light bulb, Chance walked to the throne room. As he walked in, courtiers and nobles whispered, their eyes filled with curiosity and respect.
As chance tootled on about how the light bulb and generator worked, the emperor looked down at the stage and wore a satisfied expression.
Chance bowed deeply. "Your Majesty, I have utilized the power of running water to generate electricity, a concept I came up with in my research. This electricity can be used to light up our homes so that we are no longer dependent on candles and lanterns, which means we can save a large portion of our national expenses with this"
The Emperor peeked out curiously. "This is incredible. Can this method be applied throughout the palace and city?"
"Yes, Your Majesty," Chance replied confidently, "with the proper resources and labor, we can build larger generators to power more homes or even entire palaces."
The Emperor had never been happy with Chance, but for his recent accomplishments and performance, the Emperor was beginning to appreciate Chance, the Emperor had been wanting to pass the throne on to the First Prince for some time now, he had wavered and he intended to continue to scout and hone Chance to become the future Emperor.
However, the emperor's decision soon reaches the ears of the eldest prince and Semon and others. The eldest prince has a sense of crisis and decides to get rid of chance quickly, a battle for the throne is about to begin...
