The doors to the room cringed open and everywhere was flooded with bright lights. The bulbs above them were turned on, and it flickered for a brief moment before being stable. Ravana raised her head, terrified as Damon stepped in behind the woman she was yet to be familiar with.
Her insides suddenly felt chilly, and her spine began to tingle as she pressed herself and her small body so close to the wall, as if it had already promised to swallow her up the moment Damon revealed his face to them.
They walked in with a few untrustworthy wraiths that were only loyal to Damon.
''Ta-da!''
Veronica moved to the middle of the room with a bright smile on her face and her hands outstretched at an impressive looking Damon. His eyes lingered on his brother's current heartbeat before moving to the one before.
She looked obviously frightened by him still, although she sometimes pretended as if she wasn't.
