Ebony had to comport herself from the start of their meal when Rayven did nothing but watch her every move. He didn't even touch his food served out for him nor drink from the wine. Slowly, his gaze was becoming more intense than Damon's subtle own. When she picked up her glass to have a sip of water, she almost choked on it when his golden gaze never departed from her side. It made eating and drinking so much difficult.
She paused to move her hands from the table and placed it on her laps to continue with that nasty habit of hers she does whenever she was feeling nervous. Maybe having the three of them all gathered on the table eating together was a terrible idea. It was only Damon that had the peace of mind to eat normally in this tense silence circling them.
''Why did you stop eating?''
