Damon quickly signalled Drain to drag Anna out of the room while he followed behind them. Hale wanted to leave as well but was stopped by Ebony's silent pleas not to leave her alone with him. Hale couldn't ignore her so he agreed to stay beside her. They both watched the demon leaned over to pull out the small knife from one of the apples. He flipped it side by side, observing it, his eyes darkening on the sharp edge before he rose to his feet, letting the knife fall back on the table.
