Ebony fluttered her eyes open and checked the time on her phone. It was just a few minutes past seven. She had only slept for twenty minutes. It appeared her body could not even relax completely until the entire plan tonight was a success. She raised herself sleepily into a sitting position and noted she had fallen asleep in Veronica's room. But the woman was sitting at her dressing table, clad neatly in her pajamas and she was having a conversation with a person on the phone.
"Uh…mom, let me call you back. She is awake." She said immediately after she saw Ebony was awake and swiftly cut the call. She turned to her adorable puppet on the bed and smiled, "Good morning." With a joke.
Ebony reached out to rub off every trace of sleep in her with a smile of her own.
"I thought you would sleep it all off and forget about the plan we have in motion."
