It was a direct message from Hale. Ebony carefully stood from her seat as his second message entered saying he was outside the house, waiting for her. She grabbed one of her black loose-fit jackets and put it on before leaving her room at top speed.
Veronica entered the house scoffing and looking displeased at the thought of their relationship being one-sided. It would have been so advantageous to her plan if it was not. She paused to think why Hale hasn't fallen in love with his best friend yet. He should somehow, deep down, have felt something else apart from the platonic feeling he claims he has.
