In the heart of the Celestial Realm of Fèngyuán, where the skies shimmered with hues of mystical azure and amethyst, nestled the Lotus Blossom Monastery—a sanctuary of tranquil beauty and celestial wonder. Born of divinity from the Immortal Lotus, within its sacred confines, Tang Wei, a newly cultivated flower spirit, thrived under the blooms of shimmering flourish. The Lotus Blossom Monastery was her home. It was all she had ever known. A mere Lotus whom cultivated from the Níngjìng zhī hé, or River of Tranquility, that bound the very fabric of the Monestary into a pure and tranquil space.
Tang Wei's spirit, however, was as untamed as the winds that swept across the celestial plains. Her robes, adorned with hues of moonlit silver and navy blue, swayed with the grace of a thousand zephyrs as she tended to the blossoms that adorned the monastery's hallowed grounds. Under the moonlight, her robes glittered with every movement, as if assimilating to the twinkle of stars. Under the sun, her brilliant silver and navy robes shined bright, reflecting the suns rays. To others, she was merely a flower spirit blessed with the ability to cultivate a human form. However, beneath her whimsical exterior of innocence and new life, lay a soul yearning for more—a longing for a life beyond the confines of her sanctuary, where the unknown beckoned with whispered promises of adventure and discovery.
On this particular morning, as the sun rose with a gentle caress upon the celestial horizon, Tang Wei found herself lost in reverie in the tranquil gardens her courtyard. With each step she took tending to the blossoms, her heart swelled with anticipation of the day. Tang Wei continued her walk among the celestial gardens, her senses tingled with an unusual energy—a subtle shift in the currents of the air that whispered secrets of the world beyond. Instinctively, she paused, her gaze sweeping the horizon in search of the source of the disturbance. It was unusual to be able to sense changes within the Celestial Realms as the Lotus Blossom Monastery was under heavy guard and powerful protective barriers.
The celestial canopy above seemed to ripple with an otherworldly light, casting ethereal shadows upon the tranquil landscape. Tang Wei's heart quickened with anticipation, her curiosity piqued by the enigmatic presence that lingered just beyond the bounds of her sanctuary. It was unheard of to be disturbed this deep into the Monastery. With measured steps, Tang Wei ventured deeper into the heart of the garden, her senses attuned to the slightest rustle of leaves and the faintest whisper of the wind. It was then that she heard it—a soft melody that danced upon the breeze, carrying with it the echoes of a distant world.
Drawn by an irresistible force, Tang Wei followed the siren song of the wind, her footsteps guided by an unseen hand. Through groves of ancient trees and fields of blooming flowers she wandered, each step bringing her closer to the source of the celestial symphony. At last, she emerged into a clearing bathed in the soft glow of moonlight, her breath catching in her throat at the sight that greeted her. Before her stood a magnificent willow tree, its branches swaying in time with the rhythm of the wind, its leaves shimmering with an otherworldly light. Just as quickly as it appeared, it had vanished, and a delicate hand appeared on her shoulder.
Her mentor had materialized into the western garden, she could feel her qi immediately. "Immortal Lotus," she spoke, her voice barely above a whisper. "What is the meaning of this melody that fills the air? Do you hear it too?" Immortal Lotus regarded Tang Wei with a smile, strained and not quite reaching her eyes. "It is the song of the winds. Nothing to worry about or pay any mind too. Young Tang Wei, not everyone is blessed with the ability to decipher the song of the winds. It must be your special connection to the energy here." she replied, her melodic voice echoed through the gardens. "Return to your duties young flower spirit. The gardens mustn't be left for too long."
As Immortal Lotus departed, her deep red robes swaying with each step, leaving Tang Wei alone among the tranquil beauty of the western gardens, a kaleidoscope of emotions churned within the young flower spirit. Gazing out at the sprawling expanse of the monastery grounds, a sense of confinement settled over her, contrasting with the boundless expanse of her aspirations. She knows what she just felt. She could feel and hear the call.
"Xiao Song, must you always have your head in a book?" Lin Yi grumbled, joined by Tang Wei at her living quarters dining table. Lin Yi and Xiao Song were Tang Wei's best friends and confidants. Xiao Song wasn't just an attendant to Tang Wei, but a sister, and Lin Yi was her elder, her guide, her voice of reason. She could always count on these two young ladies to have her back. Tang Wei laughed and glanced at the yellow bound title in her friends hand. "'Qing Qing Ai De?' What in the world is that even about?" Xiao Song took a bite of her rice and glanced up from her book.
"Well if you must know, it's the latest installment in the Eternal Realms series. We will finally get to see how the heroine will rescue the handsome general from the depths of the Demon realm after the sexy evil king kidnapped him to bait the heroine into marrying him." Lin Yi rolled her eyes. "Rubbish. Why don't you actually read something worth value?" Tang Wei tapped her chopsticks on her bowl. "Alright children, let's just eat in peace, huh? I am starved after tending to the Lotuses all day."
