Chapter 134 - Healing Process

Chapter 134 Healing Process When Aleshia arrived next to Daniel, Lucia asked to be worn instead of held in her arms, as it might look strange to him if she kept holding a hat. Understanding this, Aleshia placed Lucia on her head and then settled her hands over Daniel's bloodied arm. While Aleshia's hands hovered above Daniel's wound, Lucia began to prepare her nature magic. Instead of channeling the magic through the air, as she had done with the children, she flowed it through Aleshia's body. This decision felt like the right choice for Lucia since Daniel was intently watching Aleshia's every move. Without raising Daniel's suspicion, Lucia directed the magic through Aleshia's body and out of her outstretched arms. Once the mana escaped Aleshia's body, Lucia manipulated it to encircle Daniel's injury and allowed it to seep into his wound. After most of it had entered his arm, Lucia imbued the nature magic into his bloodstream, enhancing Daniel's natural healing process. As Lucia worked to heal Daniel, Aleshia began to conjure clean water from the air, gently cleansing the area around Daniel's arm. With the blood cleared off, Daniel could now see his injury, and he noticed that it was healing at an unnatural speed. He examined his wounds and remarked, "This isn't how regular healing by healers usually works. It seems like my healing has been accelerated rather than just being superficially patched up by some strange magic. It looks just like how a wound would heal on its own, but much faster." He murmured while admiring the rapid recovery of his arm. After a few minutes, the wound had fully scabbed over, and his skin was mending over it. "This healing process takes significantly longer than being healed by a spell, but it appears that this method regenerates the wound by utilizing the body's own resources rather than relying on the caster's mana supply. This could potentially be extremely dangerous if performed on someone who is near death or in a weakened state. However, it seems a better alternative for developing immunities and defenses, as it promotes regeneration rather than offering mere patchwork healing." After admiring the healing wound for a while, Daniel looked up to find Aleshia watching it intently, just as he had. After a moment of consideration, he declared, "Your healing method seems much more reliable than that of a regular healer, but if you don't have a way to regulate the strength of the body's healing, it could overwork the body and potentially harm its target." As he spoke, he observed Aleshia's expression, expecting to see hints of surprise at his insight, but he was somewhat perplexed by the lack of movement in her face.
