Chapter 118 - The Fight

Chapter 118 The Fight "What is our plan here?" Lucia asked as she noticed Aleshia preparing a spell. Aleshia shared her plan. "I am considering finding a good spot to observe the battle without being noticed by the bandits hiding in the bushes. If those two in the bushes attempt anything, we will use our magic to stop them." "Alright, I understand," Lucia said. Aleshia moved closer to the fighting, finding a vantage point nearby. She was ready to cast her spell at any moment, with Lucia by her side. The adventurer dodged the dagger thrust aimed at him. He seized the bandit's wrist, applying pressure until the bandit dropped his weapon. Just then, a sword slash forced the adventurer to retreat, but not before he managed to grab the fallen dagger. With his new dagger now in hand, the adventurer closed the distance to the sword-wielding bandit and swiped at him. The bandit, unable to react in time, failed to block the attack. The adventurer's dagger cut into the bandit's hand, forcing him to lose his grip on the sword's hilt. A moment later his throat was sliced. When the other bandit saw his companion's throat getting sliced, He let go of his throbbing wrist, picked up his remaining dagger, and urgently ran to his friend, shouting, "You bastard!" The adventurer did not respond to the bandit's cry. Instead, he casually picked up the dead bandit's sword and brandished it with ease. As the bandit charged at the adventurer, he seethed with rage and hatefully swiped at the man. However, the adventurer effortlessly deflected the attack, sending the dagger flying from the bandit's grasp. Then, with one swift move, the adventurer struck the bandit on the head with the pommel of the sword, knocking him out cold. Aleshia and Lucia were sitting on a tree branch, watching the fight from afar while using a concealment spell to hide themselves. "Wow, the adventurer guy barely broke a sweat," Aleshia whispered excitedly. Adding to Aleshia's observation, Lucia remarked, "It seems the adventurer is quite skilled in combat. I wonder why such weak opponents are pursuing him." A moment later, they noticed one of the bandits hiding in the brush, drawing back his bow and aiming it at the adventurer. Just as Lucia was about to cast her spell at the bandit, Aleshia stopped her, curious to see how the adventurer would react. "Hold on, Lucia. I think the adventurer can handle this on his own," Aleshia said.
