I and Jeraldine echoed at the same time, our faces turned to each other with curiosity written all over it. I took the first step forward, unsure of what to expect. The siren echoed loud in the hallway forcing both of us to acknowledge the seriousness of the situation.
"No one else has entered this room. It's just been Jeraldine and me. If anyone had come in, we would have noticed." I reasoned with them and only then did they seem to lower the gun to their sides.
I sighed and leaned back, while Jeraldine collapsed onto the bed, clearly exhausted. Up until now, none of them had told us why there was a siren resounding in the hallway.
"We apologize for the inconvenience. If you don't mind, we need to search the room." He holstered his gun, letting it hang over his shoulder. "Please be on the stand out and don't fret too much, the securities have it under control."
