Chapter 87 - chapter 87

As the dragon soared higher into the night sky, William felt a surge of exhilaration coursing through him. The familiar rush of wind against his face and the rhythmic beating of the dragon's wings filled him with a sense of freedom unlike any other.

Below them, the world stretched out in all its grandeur, the moonlight casting a luminous glow over the landscape. The lush greenery of the surrounding forest, illuminated by the silvery light, seemed to dance beneath them as they flew.

"I've missed this feeling."

"The feeling of freedom!"

William said, his voice barely audible over the rush of wind. The dragon, sensing his excitement, let out a rumbling roar in response, its fiery breath illuminating the night sky.

Together, they soared through the night, the bond between dragon and rider unbreakable as they journeyed onwards. The stars above twinkled like diamonds in the vast expanse of the heavens, guiding their way as they ventured into the unknown.

As they flew, William then said to the cannibal:" Gūrogon issa naejot vōljesi nest. īlon emagon mirri affairs naejot deal rūsīr konīr"   (Take me to crows nest. We have some affairs to deal with there.)

Time passed, with its massive form casting a shadow over the landscape below. They arrived at Crows nest, where reports suggested bandits were causing unrest among the smallfolk.

....

[A random bandits POV]

Today was like any other day. Like usual, we terrorize the folks in the day to get the money out of them.

And at night, we drink until we pass out.

Or that's what I thought.

While I was resting in my tent. Voices were heared outside my tent. So, I stood up from my bed. And went outside my tent to see what was going on outside.

Then I saw a scene that terrified me to the bone. An enormous big black-furred valyrian steel dragon, larger than the Black Dread itself. The wings of the dragon looked like it could destroy ships with a gust of them. This dragon was diving to the ground with a fiery burst of emerald green fire spewing of its mouth, razing everything in its path as a lone rider sat atop.

One moment, everything was fine, and the second the world turned into a living hell.

Flames burned, and black smoke rose with the world turning red.

While I was blown away by a huge gust of wind. And was now laying on the ground, breathing heavily, trying to cover the big wound on my body.

I titled my head to the side where my comrades were almost all of them are dead...

My eyes started to feel heavy...

They were closing slowly as I tried to keep them open.

Maybe, just maybe. I should've not done the things I've done...

....

[William's POV]

The air was heavily mixed with the scent of burnt flesh and the screams that followed through.

Currently, Cannibal was still spewing flames from the sky.

With William looking at the flames and smoke emanating from the ground below..

Hmmm...

"Perhaps the work here is done."

William hopped off The Cannibal as the Cannibal descended onto the ground gracefully.

As William landed on the ground, he closed his eyes for a second before breathing in the air that still held a lot of the sweet fragrance of blood and sweat.

He had to admit It was a sight to behold, quite a bit gruesome, though.

Suddenly, a sound was heared from behind William.

"AARGHHHHHNNN!!!!" A badly wounded bandit screamed as he swung his sword towards William.

Seeing this, William reflexedly took the sword from the bandit.

Then, he proceeded to swing the bandit's own sword at the bandit, ripping through all the flesh as blood gushed out of his body and the sound of bones resounded in the air.
