Chapter 1 - Glaivers Port.

CHAPTER 1.

 RAIN TOWN.

We docked at Glaivers Port, the biggest port in rain town. I saw people cheering while looking in our direction, thats when I turned to look to my back and there it was..... written in bold caps "ATLANTIS CHARITY SSUPPLIES" Then the people whom I thought were cheering us on rushed onto the dock breaking the security fence that was kept up by the security guards shoving and pushing one another. Some fell off the dock others lay on the floor injured from the commotion, others were eagerly waiting for the ship's doors to open some raised their hands in a begging manner, others knelt and prayed for the food to start falling from the skies. I felt someone's hands on my shoulder "I hope you don't turn out to be like that, kid" It was Wegs, he had a disgusted look on his face "No... I'll never be like them" I replied and stared back at the starving crowd.

"Hirsi! You're not going to say bye to me?!, wtf dude?" Jack called me out from a distance "I was just about to do so, luckily for me you came to me" I shouted so he could hear me well enough. "Before you leave the captain wants to see you" Wegs shoved me slightly on my back "Go, he's the one who helped you out the most" I walked up to Jack and he wrapped his arm around my neck and started messing my hair "You're about to leave without my permission huh?" he said with a smug, he added "we've got a surprise for you kid, come on let's go" he took me to the captain's office and knocked on a glowing skull three times "Come in" We went in and were greeted by the captain's big smile "I guess this is were we part ways," he said with a kind, but grumpy voice "Yes captain, thanks for your help I'm very much grateful". He tossed a TUSBA

"Take it, you'll need it" he looked eager to see my reaction or response

"Thanks"

*Seriously capt'n your giving people drugs now?*

"no problem, don't lose them though"

"Yeah I won't lose them"

*Like hell i would, I'll be arrested if am found with these*

I said my bye to the crew and the captain including Jack, on my way out I waved my hand to Wegs from a distance and he waved back.

There were two huge pillars that held up a similarly huge sign that read "RAIN TOWN" for some reason standing in front of those two pillars sent shivers down my spine it felt like a rush of excitement. I took two deep breaths while the clouds above my head starting to merge into one another enough to cover the sunlight in the middle of the day, the smell of rain started to please my nose.

*Ahh thats nice*

The city was really big but considering the fact that i've only seen islands while working for the Iron ship for the past six years, but that didnt stop me from being impresed by its size. I walked around the town and after a couple of minutes probably 20 to 30 minutes, it seemed that the clouds couldn't hold any longer then decided to release the floodgates, it was like small stones falling from the skies and i had to bare with it. After strolling around for a bit longer drenched by the rain it reminded me of the one time when jack and i were lost at sea on a small rescue boat,We were carried by the waves for three days and when the ship finnally found us the first words that came out of our mouths were "Water, were's the water?" we almost died from thirst and ever since then the crew and even the capt'n kept moking us for it. While my mind was occupied with memories I randomly stumbled across an Inn

Big Shacks Inn

It seemed like a decent place. I Went in through the front doors

"Hey! Welcome Welcome, what can I help you with?" I was greeted by a young lovely lady who was way shorter than me, really short

"Um..."

"Hey i something wrong?"

"No noo, I.. I came to book in for some three or two nights".

She went behind a counter and said.

"three nights, is that ok?"

"sure"

Bilan

her name was Bilan, it was sown on her shirt with bright yellow right above her breast.

"Can you please give your name?"

"Hirsi"

"Hmm let's see.... so Hirsi who?"

"Hirsi Aslan"

"Oh your from the south right?"

I nodded

"Its rare seeing Southerners here on the East, well most of you guys can't handle the weather because it rains daily here" she said. Then she added

"What brought you here?"

"Money"

"oh ok..." She seemed disappointed

"What is something wrong about that"

"No its just that my friend once told me that Southerner's only come to the East for money and they were greedy people and all", "But I really didn't want that to be true"

"And now here I am in the East for money, I guess your friend is an honest one"

"yeah... oh here i almost forgot" she handed me the keys

"Room 24, up the stairs on your left"

"If you need anything I'll be here just come and ask"

I went up the stairs to my room.

And the room wasn't big but I didn't really care at the time. The only goal I set out to accomplish was to get filthy rich, considering my job status I'm no where near my goal. But first things first I need a job, the money that was lent to me by Jack wouldn't last me even a week.

*Ughh I'm so fucking tired, the bed really looks cosy and cold*

*thud*

I fell on the bed and had a short nap, and after having the sleep of the centuries I went out the and down the stairs hoping to see more of the town and start scouting for jobs tomorrow. On my way out i asked Bilan how much money can keep at the inn for one week and she said

"One night at the Inn costs 2 erts and five coins"

And I only have 5 erts plus 10 coins currently, I'm planning to at least start earning 20 or more erts weekly.

While i was on my adventure through the town i saw a small secluded market with plastic covers covering stalls making it look like it was underground. I went to check it out and see if I could find a job as Bodyguard or a Stroller anything would be good honestly, while i walked past the people a lot of them purposely shoved me to make seem accidental but i was well aware of what they were up to.

*shove*

"ah, sorry boy," said an old man poorly dressed and tried to walk away.

"No problem, but I'll need it back" I turned back to face him

"What?" he said while acting confused

"I said I'll need my money back"

"Are you ok in the head?" he insulted me and had little chuckle.

He tried to walk away again but I firmly gripped his arm intent on not letting it go.

He reached into his rugged old jacket and pulled out a gun.

*Shit dude are really going to pull out a whole ass gun out in the open?!*

With the gun pointed at me he said.

"You better let go kid... this money ain't worth your life"

I stood there motionless thinking of my next move with the gun shaking in his hand, it seemed he wasn't a big fan of killing anyone, let alone a young man in the middle of the street. I scanned around for a solution looking for a way to disarm him without causing any harm.

I tried grabbing his other arm but he panicked and pulled the trigger, I was able to dodge bullet but it left a scorch on my cheek. I swooped his legs off the ground and placed his armed hand behind his back but i think i bent the arm too hard because he was screaming in pain.

I slid my hands in his pockets and took the money.

"Stop! Please I need it" he shouted as he layed on the ground helpless.

"What for?"

"hospital I need to pay back the hospital"

"hah" i chuckled, "dude i don't give a fuck"

I took the gun, unloaded the bullets and tossed them aside to make sure he wouldn't shoot me as soon as I turned my back on him. I could hear him curse as I walked away.

Everyone at the scene didn't bother to intervene they just continued with their daily routine.

I went on with my exploring/adventure, and had just realised that the city was going to be rough on me.the people here would'nt care if someone died on the streets or got kidnaped around the markets and to make it even worse im a foreigner. they could easily tell that just by looking at my skin. I have a light tone of brown but compared to the natives here the difference between me and them was literaly Black and White. They had more of a paled white skin. Thats why the people from the south call them "White Rabbits" being called a rabbit or a mouse was considered an insult back at the south.

I spotted a stall selling clothes eight blocks away from the scene.

I went up to the front door and walked in, looked around for a pair of shoes, shirts and trousers i was gonna need new cloths unless i wanted to walk around the streets butt naked.

I walked out of the Iron shit with my bag filled with drugs and didn't even think of taking extra cloths with me?, shit I'm dumb as fuck

One of the employees walked up to me while i was blanking out in disappointment.

"Is there anything you want to

get?"

he asked.

I pulled my thoughts together, and replied "I wanted some shoes and clothes"

"you can come check them out over here, come let me show you"

He showed me black trousers, white T-shirt and a good pair of shoes.

He led me somewhere so I could change into the clothes to see if liked them or not.

*Shiiit i look good!*

after a few minutes of checking myself out he knocked on the door telling me to hurry up and that other customers were waiting in line. I packed the clothes in a bag and walked out, people were staring at me with glare in their eyes, they were probably thinking "these southerners have no sense of manners" something along those lines.

"I'll take these" i told the employee

"You took some time deciding didn't you" i just ignored what he just said.

And asked "how much is it going to cost?"

"oh, umm.... about 1 ert and 2 coins"

I handed him the money and headed back to the Inn.

"good day?, do you like the city?" Bilan asked

*City? I thought this wa- ohhhhhh thats why it's really big, Shit im really losing it aren't i should know this kind of things, come on! Hirsi pull yourself together.*

"yeah it was nice"

she saw my cloths were messed up and asked.

"What happened?"

"some old man tried to steal money from me" i answered then added

"thank god It didn't escalate"

*does the inclusion of a gun count as escalation?*

"Is he all right?"

"I doubt that, well I think I broke his arm so..."

"Oh" she looked worried.

"I'll be heading to my room, I'm worn out"

"yeah, no problem" She seemed like she was still hanging on what i just said

"there's a bathhouse around this area you should try it sometime" she said and I nodded my head whilst walking up the stairs.

*Shit!!!! Now she thinks I'm not ok in the head!*

*I should get some sleep, I'm soo fucking tired, I barely slept today*
