The girls made their way back home on Javir's magical carriage, as their teacher had waited for them to get out.
"Ugh, I wish you'd at least let me see them," Javir said with a pout. "Gods, I would have loved to see the looks on their faces when the knights rounded them up."
Finally, the adrenaline was fading, and in its wake a deep sense of exhaustion was filling Melisa's body. Her bones themselves were aching, but right alongside that was a big feeling of victory.
As they approached the manor, Isabella stretched her arms above her head.
"You know, we really should've stopped at a bar or something. Or, better yet, a club~"
Melisa snorted, shaking her head.
"Are you kidding? I'm not even sure I have the energy to lift a glass right now let alone dance. I'd much rather just kick back at home. Besides, the good stuff's here."
Armia nodded in agreement, a tired smile on her lips.
"Yeah, we deserve some comfort after today."
