"You know how nervous I was, right? I mean, it's not easy to be in a family where you are not even loved." Claire shouted out in anger. It was already raining, and Joshua was deeply affected by what Claire had just told him.He knew that she was telling the truth."I mean! Oh! My husband's family doesn't like him. How are they going to act towards me? Would they like me? Would they consider the fact that we didn't even get along well? Those words were ringing right in my head repeatedly." She shouted right at him, while he just kept on driving."Do you think your mother would be proud of you if you kept on acting this way towards a girl for no reason?" When he heard her calling his mother's name, Joshua immediately pulled up his car.He wasn't expecting someone to just call his mother's name so casually. "What did you just say?" He looked at her. Claire knew that she had woken up the demon in him already. She was scared to see him react that way. She spoke out of anger."Get out of my car! Right now!" He shouted right at her."It's raining. You don't expect me to stand in the rain? Do you?" She questioned him."I don't care! Just fucking get out of my car!" He cussed, hitting his steering wheel.Claire came out of his car while she was still in awe. "Are you going to leave me here for real? I'm so sorry! I said the wrong thing, and I hope you can let me back in." Her hand was right on the car. Joshua, who was blinded by anger, didn't bother to react to the stunt she was pulling. He drove off like it was nothing, which made Claire fall to the floor. "Was he drunk? How could he do something like that?" She complained. She was feeling pain since she had twisted her ankles already. "Ah no!" She cussed while she tried to stand up and noticed how it was really painful. The street was pretty silent, and there was no one right on the street. She was a little bit scared, while she just stood in the same position, hoping that he was going to come back to look for her. She stood in the rain for hours, tears falling right from her eyes. "Why was he so heartless? Why did he have to be this way?" She had never stood in the rain for too long. She knew she was going to get a cold immediately. She then saw a car approaching from afar. She didn't know if she was going to be happy or not. She stood up, thinking that it was Joshua who had come to get her. She kept waving her hand till the cat got to her side, and then she pulled up. She then realised that it was not him. "What are you doing in the rain?" The stranger, who was right in the car, questioned her. She stuttered, not knowing what she was trying to explain to him. "I'm waiting for my husband." She managed to say, but the stranger chuckled at hearing what she did. "Why don't you get a car, and I will drive you to the nearest hotel?" He offered her a ride. She was hesitating, but not until reality hit her again that Joshua wasn't going to come back to pick her up. She entered the car quickly. "I'm so sorry you, dear, will get wet because of me." She apologised to the stranger who picked her up. She could feel that he had made the car warmer. "Thank you very much. I needed it." She was shivering so badly, and she could feel her head getting so hot. She felt the pain right in her head. She started sneezing, too. "How long have you spent in the rain? Would you like to go to the hospital instead?" The stranger who carried her noticed that she was not okay, and she had been sneezing badly. "No! I don't want to be seen by people or anything." She cut in. She knew that the media knew about the cat that she got married to. She was scared that someone might see her. "Should I take you to my apartment, then? I'm just back in the city, and I got to realise a drive to the hotel from here is going to take a few hours." He questioned her, and she shrugged her shoulders. "I'm totally fine with it..." She couldn't complete her statement before she sneezed so hard again. Her eyelids were getting so heavy due to stress and everything. Joshua got home and realised what he had done wrong. He knew he was going to be in trouble once his family got to know what he had done. He rubbed his head against his forehead when he saw that she was not picking up the call. "Pick up your damn phone!" He hit his car after he realised she was not picking up. He knew the kind of phone that she was using and how it could get to work inside water. "Sir? What about Miss?" Ann, who was right outside the car, questioned him. He didn't know what kind of excuse to bring it up. "You must keep your grandfather from knowing this, or you will lose your job again." He threatened her and entered his car, driving back to where she had left. "Oh no! Why did I do that? I shouldn't have done this!" He was already regretting his actions. He realised what his anger had made him do, and he wanted to correct himself badly. He looked around, hoping to see any security cameras that might have captured where he had been. He called one of his friends, who could help him in that situation. A close friend could help him see what happened through a security camera.
