With a smile, Claire told him she liked what he said and nodded.
He smiled back at Claire, and for a moment she thought she recognised him from somewhere else.
"Wait... Are you the person who wears glasses? "Who was a little overweight?" Claire didn't know how to pick the right words.
She did remember that he was picked on because he was the biggest. For that, everyone used to pick on him.
Daniel's smile got bigger, and he looked back with a tear in his eye. "Yes, that's me. I wasn't the same back then, was I? I lost a lot of weight and ditched the glasses after graduation. It's amazing what a bit of drive can do."
Claire's eyes widened in understanding. "Daniel, I remember now! You used to be in the science club. You always had your nose in a book, and you were really good at math. Wow, you've changed so much."
