Chapter 21 - Trying to Seduce?

Joshua didn't bother to stress himself, and he just left her food there, not caring if it was going to run cold or not. He covered it; that was all he did."Should I just let him know?" Amelia was feeling the little pain right below her runny, and she didn't know what it was again. She squatted, hoping that it would go."Please! Not now. I don't want to go to the hospital now." She pleaded with her tummy. She didn't want any suspicions now. After a few minutes, her tummy stopped hurting her. She acted like everything was fine and then went downstairs.Joshua had already finished his meal and was currently reading his mail on his laptop. He was working since he was damn bored. "You took so long right in the bathroom!" Before he even looked at her, he noticed her presence.Claire was already getting ready to reply to her, but she didn't bother to say anything. He looked up and saw her face!"Oh my goodness! Why do you look that way? Are you turning into a ghost? Why is your face that pale?" He was shocked to see how pale her face was.He stood up from where he was and walked right back slowly, while he was still surprised by the way that she was looking. He wasn't expecting it. "You went into a few houses looking okay, but now you look this pale." She sat where her food was, then opened it. It was not cold, and at the same time, it was not hot. She started eating it, and she loved it so much. "I never knew that you were so good at cooking." She continued while he shrugged her arms."Wait! I hope it is not what I am thinking." He buttered in, still pondering the fact that her face was looking so pale. Claire knew what he was thinking, and she scoffed. "Oh my! Are you pregnant?" He questioned her as she tried to touch her pulse."I am not pregnant! I tried different makeup, and I ended up looking like this. Instead, you should continue your work." Why are you acting like you are concerned?" She jumped up, hitting the dining table.That made him jump in fear. He didn't expect her to act that way just because he cared about her. "Okay! Fine. I would just go back to where I was initially." He left her house and resumed working on his laptop.The day has been boring for both of them. "I heard there was a club around here. Do you want to go? I just have three days left to keep up with this boredom." He questioned her."Sure! I would go. We can just act like we don't know each other." She warned him, and then he shrugged."That is one of the easiest things ever. You should also act like you don't know me." He told her, too. It was also time for them to go out, and they went to dress up for club night.Claire decided to wear the sexiest dress she had on. It hugged her body perfectly, and she then walked out of her room. On her way out, she met Joshua, who was also putting on something casual but on fire at the same time."Who are you trying to seduce?" He questioned her, but she didn't tell him anything. Even though he didn't like her as his wife, he was a little bit jealous that a lot of people might get to woo her a lot that night.He made up his mind that he was going to watch her instead of having fun that night. They both entered the car that was reserved for them at the vacation house, and he drove off to the club using his map.His grandfather then called him on his way out of the house. He didn't want to pick up at first, but he later picked up the call. Claire could hear what her grandfather was saying."How are you two doing? How was the place reserved for you? I hope you two are having fun." His grandfather questioned him, and then he looked at Claire.They both knew that it was very boring. "Yeah! I have been having fun with my wife. Thank you very much for making this day come true." He lied."Keep having fun; make a lot of great baits for me." His grandfather told him, and Claire choked on her saliva after she heard what her grandfather said. Joshua felt a little bit embarrassed. "Oh! Is she here with you?""I have to go now." He ended the call with his grandfather."Why are you not close with your parents? I mean, they don't call you?" Claire decided to ask him, even though she wasn't sure if he would answer her."We aren't close enough for me to be able to answer you. What if you might get to use that against me?" He answered her, and she then rolled her eyes. He got to the location where they were supposed to have fun, and they both came down from the car!"Remember, we have to act like we don't know each other." Claire reminded him immediately when she came down from the car. Joshua wanted to act it perfectly, and he just walked past her like he hadn't met her before. Claire had already entered the club. She walked through the crowd, and then a lot of guys were already staring at her. They saw how she looked, and she was very hot.A man approached her with a glass of wine in his hand. "You look so damn hot. Are you here with anybody?" He questioned him. Claire loved how he looked, and she saw that he wasn't that evil either."No! I am here alone. Just here to have fun all by myself." She replied to him."Can I?" He stretched out his hand, and she grabbed it immediately. It turned out that they both wanted to dance with each other. Joshua was furious while he watched what was going on between both of them. He was also extremely jealous.
