After getting her keys, Claire left the house in the hopes that a walk would help her think more clearly. She stepped outside into the cool evening air and tightened her coat around her shoulders. It was quiet on the streets, and the streetlights made long shadows on the ground. She walked around idly, her mind a jumbled mess of fear, worry, and anger.
