Claire blinked, caught off guard by the invitation. She hadn't planned on doing anything outside of work, especially with her personal life in such disarray. "Oh, well... I hadn't really planned anything for today," she said, choosing her words carefully. "But I could be available. What did you have in mind?"
Adriana's excitement was palpable even over the phone. "I was thinking we could grab lunch somewhere, maybe do a bit of shopping afterward? I know a few great spots downtown. It'd be fun to get out and just relax, you know?"
