Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: The XO Network Storm

After his conversation with Victoria, Leon logged onto a site called "D4K." This was one of Leon's favorite sites, primarily due to its Military History Literature section, which offered a rich array of professional knowledge. Unlike the tedious memorization in class, this forum allowed Leon to enjoy watching different "factions" fiercely debate political views, historical accuracy, and various literary topics. It was amusing to see them argue, regardless of whether they were right or wrong.

Leon's disdain for people who constantly compared China unfavorably to America motivated him to steal U.S. classified technology and military secrets. This was largely because some forum members frequently boasted about American technological advancements, using them to criticize China, often concluding that a democratic society was inherently superior.

Particularly after the U.S. B4 stealth bomber made progress, these so-called "wumao" (Internet commentators paid to promote a certain viewpoint) flooded the forum with exaggerated claims like "F-22 and B4 combination will sweep Chinese airspace" and "One F-22 can destroy 100 J-10s."

Leon registered under the ID "XOKO," meaning "XO will deal with you," and posted a thread titled: "The Fallacy of the F-22 Myth."

He shared his insights based on the F-22 data he had reviewed. Contrary to the widespread awe surrounding the F-22, Leon found that the fourth-generation fighter had been highly overrated. The F-22 had several unavoidable weaknesses, as revealed in classified U.S. simulation reports, such as vulnerabilities in its laser-integrated flight data link, non-cooperative identification capability flaws, and electromagnetic wave RF management suppression technology.

Leon detailed these weaknesses, providing part of the F-22's comprehensive experimental data report as evidence to preempt any baseless arguments from the forum members. After completing his post, he issued another command: link my post's IP address to the "Hundred Days Empire" website.

The command was instantly executed.

Leon couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of how the Americans would react once they discovered this. By linking the post to the Holy Alliance, Leon aimed to sow discord between the U.S. and the EU.

With time running out, Leon prepared to log off. Spending too long in the bathroom might raise suspicions among the agents monitoring him.

Having completed his astronomical calculations, Leon exited the bathroom.

...

"Darling, listen to me, I wasn't ignoring your call...hello?...hello?...Damn you, telecom, why is there no signal all of a sudden?" A young man's anguished cry echoed down the hallway.

"My dragon-slaying weapon! Haha...why isn't it moving?? Ah?? Ah??? Please don't disconnect, ahhhhh..." Another student's wail reverberated. "Network admin, I'm taking you down with me!!"

Leon walked through the hall, leaving chaos in his wake. He suddenly realized he had forgotten to disable the frequency blocker, causing all mobile and internet signals within range to fail.

Embarrassed, Leon deactivated the ability and returned to his dorm.

In Room 502, Michael Fang walked in, looking puzzled. "Did Leon take the wrong meds?"

"What's up?" John Wu glanced at him.

"Damn, he is practicing opera."

The guys jumped out of bed and saw Leon standing on the balcony, singing operatically towards the girls' dorm.

Across the way, the girls stared in shock at Leon.

"Seriously, Leo, you already have a girlfriend, why are you acting up?"

Leon could only gnash his teeth in frustration as he continued his operatic singing.

...

Grace Wang sipped her milk, her beautiful eyes fixed on her computer screen. She was engrossed in a highly complex program.

Her phone rang, and Grace answered a private number known only to a select few.

"Grandpa."

"Yes, the program is almost ready..."

"XO has appeared?" A flicker of surprise crossed Grace's face, followed by a composed response: "He's started publishing those U.S. secrets? I understand."

"Alright, I'll handle it quickly." "Yes, Grandpa."

After hanging up, Grace took another sip of milk, her eyes growing serious. She opened a small website called D4K, which was experiencing a traffic surge. Grace's "firewall" detected over a hundred hacker attacks on a particular post from IP addresses worldwide.

Setting down her cup, Grace's slender fingers danced over the keyboard with a mesmerizing grace.

Within a minute.

All hackers attacking D4K were expelled!
